Hi there! My name is Shelby Weisburg, and I moved to Crested Butte in July. I grew up in Colorado Springs, and I just graduated this May with my Masters of Fine Arts in Fiction Writing. My partner works for Adaptive, and we moved here to support her in her new position. Housesitting helped me pay my bills through graduate school and get some time with animals! I've housesat for puppies and dogs with special needs, including physical disabilities and pharamceutically managed illness. With good instruction, I am game for anything!

I am unable to take care of pets in my home as my lease does not allow for it. For overnight care, I am happy to stay in your home.

Shelby was amazing! After picking up my last minute request, Shelby was communicative, helpful, and even bonded with my dog, Lola, during her stay. I would highly recommend Shelby!
Shelby was an excellent dog sitter! She administered medications, followed a difficult feeding routine and took our younger dog running! She was a great communicator sending photos and updates. She left the house spotless, watered plants, and even washed the sheets. I would highly recommend her!
Shelby was great, and our dog Harry loved her! She was very communicative throughout her stay out our house. She sent photos and texts with updates on Harry and how they spent their days. Lots of fetch (Harry’s favorite!) and walks to the park. I will definitely use Shelby for house/dog sitting in the future!
Can I give 10 Stars ? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Shelby (along with Liv) took absolutely wonderful care of our dogs, Wilbur and Tara, while we were on our annual fly-fishing trip in Almont. . From the moment we met, it was clear they were responsible, caring, and truly dog-loving people. They both made an instant connection with our pups, which gave me immediate peace of mind. Throughout the stay, Shelby went above and beyond to make sure Wilbur and Tara were happy, safe, and loved. When Tara wasn’t feeling well, Liv made sure that Tara was taken care of and Shelby kept me updated with thoughtful texts and reassured me that they were monitoring everything closely. I so appreciated the care, regular communication and updates. Shelby and Liv are warm, trustworthy, and genuinely compassionate. I would absolutely recommend either of them to anyone looking for a reliable and loving sitter. We hope to book with them again next time we are in Almont / Crested Butte area.
My dog loved having Shelby as a sitter! Shelby was communicative, tired our dog out with plenty of walks, and left our house clean and tidy. She was so sweet, and we’d be happy to have her stay with Ronnie again!

Schedule
Currently, I work remotely as a copywriter and part-time at Stepping Stones for some much-needed human interaction. My schedule is best with pets that are able to be left home alone during the day with a potty break around lunch time.
