I am fortunate enough to work the majority of my full time job from home. I can offer a flexible schedule with advanced notice and provide love and care to your pet 7 days a week unless blocked off on my calendar.

I am very organized, keeping track of potty break schedules, meal time and can offer distribution of certain medications if required. My dog is allowed on our furniture and offer up the same opportunity for any other pet in the home, there are multiple dog beds to be chosen from and nothing is left within reach that a pet could get into and harm themselves.

Information I require about your pet ahead of time would be how they interact with other dogs and strangers, whether they have leash reactivity or signs of food aggression and finally, what do they love to do? Do they have a favourite treat or toy? Is there a perfect scratch place that they love to be petted? How can I help them feel comfortable around me?

As a pet owner with a high-energy breed, we do our best in the home to make sure there is a variety of activities to keep our pets entertained. This means multiple walks per day, with the evening walk being a minimum of 30 minutes (either in our neighbourhood or on a trail), treat / food puzzles, toy play and training activities to keep their minds working. I am personally also a fan of a sniff walk a couple times a week, where I let my dog lead the way of the walk and give her as much time to sniff anything that piques her interest.

From a young age, I have shown a love for animals. I grew up with pets (cats and dogs) in the house and am so lucky to hold the title of dog mom to a wonderful four-year-old Aussie mix named Willow. When I was in college, I fostered cats through the Toronto Humane Society and have years of experience dog sitting for friends and family. I take great pride in caring for our pets because they're part of the family and should feel loved. I greet each pet with respect and approach them individually how they interact with me. I look forward to getting to know your fur babies!
