Whose pet is ready for a new bff?
Hi! My name is Shelby. I am a dog owner and a recent graduate with a Bachelor degree in Animal Science on the path of becoming a veterinarian. I am looking to take care of pets of any size. I have experience from all over but the most significant one is my workplace where I functioned as a veterinarian technician, so I’m more than confident in my pet handling skills. With that job came responsibilities like medicating animals, watching and understanding body language, looking out for problematic symptoms, etc. all things I succeed in. At the practice, we dealt with dogs and cats of all different sizes and temperament, so there’s little room to worry if you book with me. With that being said, getting to meet your fabulous pet would be a great pleasure for me not only because I love animals but because it moves me forward in what I strive to become, which is, an understanding and caring doctor of veterinary medicine!

Given my current work at a specialty veterinary hospital from 8-5, I have a deep understanding of animal needs and routines. This schedule perfectly allows me to dedicate my weekends and free time entirely to pet sitting, ensuring your furry friends receive consistent, loving care and attention when I'm free.

I have a fur baby of my own so I know how important it is to make sure whoever takes care of your pet is doing their very best and nothing less of that. I am an active listener so whatever you want me to do it will be done to a tee. Crating, giving medicine, enrichment activities, etc. are all things within my capabilities and even if something isn’t I will be sure to let you know beforehand. I have house sit before so updates on anything will always be given and I will leave your home just as it was. Your home and pet is like another part of you so I would never treat it as less than that.

A typical day
I always aim to make every pet's time with me an absolute joy! Our days will be filled with activities tailored to their unique personalities and energy levels. For the adventurous types, we'll embark on exciting walks, exploring new scents and sights, and for those with boundless energy, we'll have lively play sessions with their favorite toys, whether it's a vigorous game of fetch or a fun chase in the yard. When it's time to unwind, I love to provide plenty of comforting cuddle sessions and gentle belly rubs. We can also engage their minds with stimulating puzzle toys or simply enjoy some quiet time together. If they have a favorite spot to nap in the sun or a special treat they adore, I make sure those little luxuries are part of their day too. My goal is to ensure they feel loved, entertained, and completely at home while you're away.
