Hi there! My name is Shelby and I've had pets of my own my entire life. I recently moved to Pittsburgh, and before moving I had been working full time as a vet assistant. I also have experience as a dog daycare handler and have pet sat for family and friends. I'm the type of person who will be late for meetings because I was distracted by a dog on the way. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages and sizes and can safely administer any medication your furry family member may be taking. Due to my experience in the vet industry, I can also give subcutaneous injections like insulin and also give fluids as necessary. I am often referred to as the dog whisperer by those who know me and I’m extremely interested in dog behavior and enrichment. I would love to continue with whatever training you are doing and keep them entertained with puzzles and high value (sometimes even homemade) treats! Through my vet clinic, I was also fear free certified. While I no longer have access to that ongoing training, I will continue to use those practices in my personal life, ensuring your pets stay happy and safe while in my care.
