I have loved animals all my life and made a career from it working at an animal hospital for 12 years. I have also pet sat on the side for years as well as caring for my variety of pets all my life. I have extensive knowledge and experience with all kinds of pets which helps greatly with pet sitting and also additional services such as administering medications, fluids, insulin, ect. I would love to meet you and your pets and answer any questions!

I have used a handful of sitters for boarding and Shelby was my favorite. I found her last minute and was so relieved to find someone I can leave my girls with that I felt completely comfortable with. she was completely flexible with my schedule with my flight being delayed and pushing my pickup time to very late. Lots of pictures and updates made me so happy.
This was our first time leaving our 9-month-old Goldendoodle, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We left her with Shelby for a week, and everything went perfectly. Shelby was incredibly friendly and easy to communicate with. She immediately put me at ease and assured me that everything would be just fine— and it was! She has her own Rottweiler, who is bigger than our pup, and they got along really well, which made us even more comfortable. Shelby sent daily photo updates, which we truly appreciated and looked forward to. It was clear our dog was happy and well cared for. We're very happy with the experience and would highly recommend Shelby to anyone looking for a kind, responsible, and attentive dog sitter.

Felt so good leaving our pups with Shelby! They took to her right away; she was attentive in listening to our instructions, she contacted us with pictures and it was clear they were having fun! Her relaxed but professional attitude is a real plus in feeling comfortable handing over our dogs to her! We are from out of town but we will definitely contact her again when we are next in IL.
Shelby did an excellent job with Clover. Clover can be a bit of a handful and I'm sure Clover wants to go back.
This is first time our sandy went to sitters house, we were very nervous but thanks to Shelby process was very smooth, she sent us lots of picture during her stay. Shelby was very responsive and made sandy stay very comfortable. I would definitely book her for future .

I have a fenced yard/patio so they can have some outside time but I take mine on walks as well so yours can come along too!

A typical day
I have a dog of my own so your pet will have a friend to keep them company so they will never be alone. We go on walks, play fetch and play in the baby pool and sprinkler.

- Proof of vaccines will be needed - for the safety of all pets I need to know your pet is vaccinated for at rabies and distemper - although bordetella (kennel cough) and lepto as well is preferred. Any medical history or quirks are always best to know about ahead of time!
