I work full time as a wildlife research technician, but I keep my availability updated as best as I can. I may have availability outside of what is listed as well, so please reach out if you don’t see me as available and I’ll get back to you ASAP to let you know if I can help. In general, I tend to work early mornings and have my afternoons and evenings relatively free.

Currently I am only able to care for your pets in your home, but I can promise to leave it exactly as I found it! I’ve stayed in clients’ homes previously and always clean up after myself and your pets. I will treat your pets as my own, with lots of love, and follow any training, diet, or other instructions you leave for me. I want my care to make life easier on your pet, so I prioritize normalcy and sticking to their routine.

Please let me know of any special concerns your pet might have, including allergies, medical conditions, medications, etc. If I’ll be taking your pet out of the house, let me know how they typically interact with people, other animals, and other stimulus outside. I’d also love to know how your pets get along if you have multiple. Think about the things that make your pets happiest, and please share those with me! I want them to have a smooth experience with me, so anything I can do to make their routine feel more “normal” (a special spot to scratch them, their favorite toy, their favorite words, anything like that!) will help.
A typical day
I like to adapt to the pet I’m sitting for! If you’ve got a couch potato, I’ll happily pop a squat and give them some head scratches while we relax, but if you’ve got a high energy monster I’ll play fetch, tug of war, practice some tricks, or whatever else they need to help keep them entertained.

I’m a responsible person with strong attention to detail. I have been trained in basic-level dog behavior and training, and I have experience caring for senior dogs and administering oral medications. Most importantly, I love dogs, and cannot wait to meet yours!

Shelby once again took amazing care of our two kitties over the holiday! We got updates and photos from each visit, and we appreciate how she takes the time to really play with them each drop in.
Shelby was absolutely fantastic!!! She took amazing care of our two kittens and our home while we were away on vacation for the week. Shelby was so easy to communicate with and sent us daily updates and pictures. She also left our home exactly how we left it and helped bring in mail and packages throughout the week. Our babies were well cared for and we will absolutely be using her again!
