I work M-F 8-5 with a 1 hour lunch break. I am almost always available on weekends. It is no trouble for me to stop by to care for your pet on my way to and from work, before bedtime, and maybe even my lunch break!

I prefer to care for pets in their own home. I find that especially with cats, they are much more comfortable in their home where they feel safe. I prioritize stimulation and comfort so that your baby isn’t bored while you are away! I am familiar with special diets, medication administration, pet grooming, and senior care.

A typical day
I love to spend time with the animals I care for, even just for drop in visits. I will always make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and never hungry! We will do whatever your pet prefers, whether that is sitting on the couch or playing with toys for the entire visit.

Pet care experience
I always had dogs growing up and have experience in veterinary medicine. I now work as a Registered Nurse. I am a cat mom to 2 sweet girls and I often pet sit for friends and family. I have experience with cats, dogs, and senior pets. I am comfortable giving all types of medications. I was a dog groomer for about 3 years while I was in nursing school, and groomed my own dogs growing up. My priority is making sure pets feel loved and are entertained while you are away!

Shelby has watched my wife and i’s cat Fred on numerous occasions with very little notice and has always been understanding of his needs as well as our own within our home. She always takes time to make sure Fred is not only fed and cleaned up after; but that he is also shown affection and given pets so that he can be more comfortable on days that we can’t be there with him. Shelby does an awesome job and you can really tell she loves the animals she is caring for! I can’t recommend her enough!

Over the years, she's also been our go to person whenever we've had questions or concerns about our pets, and her advice has always been thoughtful and reassuring. She's dependable, compassionate, communicative, and genuinely loves animals. Our pets are always excited to see her, and we never have to worry when we're away.
