Dog walking and pet care is my full time profession, it’s not a side hobby, it’s my career! My mornings are dedicated to group walks and I currently have afternoon availability for pop ins and additional walks/visits. I’m out with dogs every single day and my schedule is built entirely around giving the best possible care to every pup in my charge.

For home visits and pop ins, I treat every dog as if they were my own. I follow the owner’s routine and instructions to keep things familiar and stress free for their pup. I ensure fresh water, feeding if required, playtime and plenty of fuss! I always send photo and video updates so owners have complete peace of mind while they’re away. For walks, dogs are collected from their home, walked in small groups across a variety of routes including forests, mountains and open fields, and returned home happy and tired! I use secure leads and equipment at all times and dogs are never left unattended. I’m experienced with dogs of all temperaments and always take time to build trust with a new dog before diving straight into walks

Before any new dog joins the pack, I always do a free meet and greet and trial walk so I can assess temperament and make sure they’re a good fit for the group. It’s really important for me to know: 🐾 Whether your dog is dog friendly or has any sensitivities around certain breeds or sizes 🐾 Any resource guarding around food, toys or people 🐾 Territorial or reactive behaviours - on or off lead 🐾 Any anxiety - separation, noise or otherwise 🐾 Medical conditions, allergies or medications 🐾 Any history of escaping or recall issues 🐾 Their energy level and favourite things! No judgement at all, the more I know upfront the better I can serve your dog and keep everyone in the pack safe and happy 🐾
A typical day
A typical day for Mucky Pups starts bright and early! I collect my first dog around 9am and build the pack throughout the morning, picking up each pup from their home along the way. We head out on an adventure, whether that’s forest trails, open fields or mountain paths depending on the day and covering plenty of ground so every dog comes home genuinely tired and happy! Every dog gets individual attention and I’m always watching temperaments, energy levels and making sure everyone is safe and having the best time. Throughout the walk I send photo and video updates to owners so they can see exactly what their pup is getting up to. Dogs are returned home by early afternoon, worn out and wagging! Afternoons I have availability for pop ins and additional visits for dogs who need a midday check in 🐾

I’m a qualified animal care professional with years of experience walking and caring for dogs of all ages, breeds and temperaments. I take small groups to ensure every dog gets individual attention, and I explore forests, mountains and open fields so your pup comes home genuinely tired and happy! I have experience with puppies, introducing them gently to group walks and building their confidence around other dogs. I offer help with training and recall whilst on the walk Every walk or sit comes with photo and video updates so you can see exactly what your pup gets up to! I treat every dog like my own and my clients stay with me long term because their dogs genuinely love their adventures with Mucky Pups 🐾

Shelby is a fantastic carer of my dog, she understands the needs and requirements to make him feel comfortable, takes them on long walks and is never troubled if she has to look after him for longer than intended. She's always on time and ready to go, I can't recommend Shelby enough, she's fantastic.
Shelby is such an animal lover. She looks after our cat, when we am on holiday. She sends photos & messages to reassure that all is well. My cat adores her and goes to her as soon as she enters the room. Shelby has even taken my cat to the vet when he was poorly and we were on holiday, kept me up to date with everything. She always goes the extra mile and really cares.
