Information Shelby H. would like to know about your pet

Any allergies? Dog-friendly? People-friendly? Child-friendly? Tendency to run away? Any personality traits or preferences. Please know that whatever the answers to these questions are just so I can have an idea of who your pet is before getting to know them and will not influence my decision to work with them. Thanks!

A typical day

We can walk in the neighborhood or drive to a park. With a few exceptions, I will only walk one dog at a time to make sure their walk is fulfilling and stress-free. For additional charges, I can make it a working walk where we work on cues or a decompression walk, which is longer and with a long lead.

Pet care experience

I’ve always had an empathetic passion for animals! From age 12, I have been volunteering in shelters and working in the animal field since age 18 (aside from pet sitting in my high school years). I have worked at a boarding facility, vet, and holistic pet food store. Now, I work at an animal shelter on the behavior team. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperments. I am Fear Free Shelter Certified, hold a dog training certification, and am working toward more certifications in the dog behavior field. I also have experience with small mammals and cats!

Shelby did a great job dropping in on our 3 dogs for a week. She was flexible with times and responsive to whatever mischief our pack got up to. The best endorsement is that the dogs were just as happy to see her as us!
