I live in an apartment in an older home in the Central District with a fenced yard. Please note I have an elderly cat and dog who are both friendly with other animals but fairly low-energy. My animals have mostly free reign of the apartment - they're allowed on the couches, beds, etc, but I try to keep my dog from going into the bathroom so she doesn't get into my cat's litter or food. As a house- and pet-sitter, I aim to treat your space and your animals the way you would - with respect, love, and care.

A typical day
Walks, naps, playtime, pets, kisses - or not! If your pet wants alone time, that's cool too. I like to adapt to your pets' needs, rather than trying to make them adapt to mine.

Hello! I'm Shelby. I live with my dog, Maggie, and my cat, Neko (both senior gals), but I still gasp audibly every time I see an animal in the street. I know how scary it can be to be away from your pets, especially if you have to leave them with someone you don't know. I also know how important it can be to leave them with someone you really trust. I promise I'll take care of your babies like they are my own - and I'd love to send you a bajillion pictures of their adorable little faces, too.

Shelby is professional and responsive, but above everything will love your pet and take super cute pics! I know has experience with cats, dogs, and loves other critters too. As a pet owner too, Shelby knows what's needed for the right level of care.
Shelby is a grade A++ dog sitter and animal lover. Not only is she responsible and communicative, she also is phenomenal with all dogs (including my difficult ones) so I can't recommend her more. As a dog sitter myself and as someone who's whole life is my animals, I understand how hard it is to find people you can trust. I have and will leave my pups with Shelby without any worries.
Shelby was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Booker, and our cats, Max and Haddie! She was always on time, kept everything neat and tidy, and followed through on every detail. Our pets adored her, and we could tell they felt safe and loved in her care. We wholeheartedly recommend Shelby to anyone looking for a caring, reliable pet sitter!
Shelby is a wonderful person--she has looked after my 2 kitties many times and they absolutely love her! She's responsible and diligent and always goes the extra mile in making sure my pets are well looked after and I have always felt comfortable having her take care of them with both short and long time periods. She's also a wonderful pet parent to her own dog and cat--they are both the sweetest, happiest animals which should tell you something! I highly recommend Shelby as a sitter.
