I am a full-time teacher - so I’m mainly available on weekends and evenings during the school year and then my schedule is more flexible during the summer!

I don’t have any pets of my own, nor do I host Rover stays at my house. However, when I do drop-in visits and walking, I am sure to follow all instructions left by the owner, and I document and take photos of my tasks and the pets to send to the owner in a Rover Card.

It is helpful to know certain information about the animals ahead of time, such as their food and potty routine, walking routes, medication and health issues, relationships/reactions to other animals, and vet details.

The activities I do during my drop-in visits depend on what the owner asks me to do and what the animal enjoys doing. I always ask about toys and activities ahead of time so I know what the owner/animal prefers. As for walks, this also depends on the owner’s preference and the area where the owner lives - I am open to longer trails and parks if the dog needs a lot of exercise.

I have 10+ years of experience walking and caring for dogs and cats. In past dog-sitting jobs, I have walked, fed, and played with the dogs, in addition to providing care for a dog with a broken limb and occasionally other illnesses. I am a huge dog lover, and I will give your pup lots of love and affection. I am young and in good shape, so I will be able to keep up with your dog and go on extensive walks if need be. As for cats, I am adept at providing wet/dry food and cleaning out litter boxes, as well as giving lots of love or even space when needed (because sometimes that’s what cats need!) All in all, I am a young animal lover who will provide excellent services for your pets and love doing it!

Shelby took great care of our very reluctant senior cat, Jake. She went over and beyond to make sure he felt comfortable and safe in her presence. Jake will more than likely welcome her back with open paws because she respected his space. He might even let her pet him. As owners, we so appreciated the pictures she sent. It brought calm to us. We look forward to having her care for Jake again in the future!
Shelby was so awesome and caring with my two kitties. I’m really grateful!!
