I am self-employed and work from home, so my schedule is very flexible and I can provide 24hr in home care. I have had pets all my life from fish, frogs, hamsters, birds, cats and dogs! In the past I worked as a livestock manager for Petcetera, so I also have professional experience dealing with a variety of other animals. Over the last 10 years I've consistently owned cats and dogs and, over the last 5 years, I've fostered many rescue dogs. My last dog was an Akita who lived to be 14, and I have experience administering medications, needles, supplements, accommodating mobility issues, and am well equipped to deal with special need animals. Currently I do not have any pets of my own, but my roommate has a cat who is very friendly and gets along with other animals. I am available for drop in visits, walks, and home/pet sitting - however, due to health problems, I do not offer drop-in walks through the winter. I have a fully fenced yard with minimal stairs into and out of the home, making it easier for small or senior animals. I am very experienced with crate training, but I'm also laid back, so if your pet likes sitting on couches and sleeping in bed I'm fine with that too!

It was clear our dog loved Shelby the first time she arrived on our doorstep! When we returned home from our vacation, the house was just as we left it and our dog had obviously had plenty of attention, exercise, and stimulation while we were away. Shelby was also very helpful with additional household tasks like feeding our aquatic pets, gathering mail and parcels, and checking our fences and gates to ensure the yard was always secure.
Great first house sitting experience with Rover. Cat was alive when I returned which is key 😆I had no worries that Zen would be neglected while I was gone. Proof of life pics and daily updates were appreciated 😃
We booked Shelby a second time and once again she was great! Great communication, took good care of our cat Scout, and left the house in great condition. Would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again!
Shelby was amazing with my furballs. It was my first experience with Rover and hiring Shelby for a home sitting experience. She did not disappoint and it made my vacation more relaxing knowing that my furballs were well taken care of.
