While I work full-time, I do set my own hours for the most part. So I am available to stop in both during the day and evenings. I live in Independence, but travel to Olathe for work and various locations around KC, so I can be flexible on locations as well!

As the mom to 3 cats (Chunk, Pam, & Wink) and a foster mama to many more, I understand that the safety of your fu babies is the top priority. I promise to treat them like my own. I am very picky about who cat sits for me, so I understand the additional stress leaving town comes with. So rest assured they will be spoiled rotten!!

While I'm used to the lazy seniors mostly, I have no problem engaging with your pup and meeting their needs. While my days going on a jog are over, I'm active and can help them burn off energy!!

Pet care experience
After over 25 years working in education, I took the leap and followed my passion to animal rescue. After volunteering for over 15 years in rescue, I've worked full time in the field. While most of my work is with cats, I do help with dogs as well. I love all cats (even the spicy ones) and have experience distributing meds, nail trims, etc. I also have a flexible schedule and can work with you to meet your floof's needs!!

I don't know if there is anyone who loves animals as much as Shelby. Shelby is a pet owner herself. She loves her cat babies as much as any mama loves her babies. She is one of the friendliest people I know. She is reliable, considerate and eager to love on and care for your babies. It is clear that not only does she love animals, but she understands their needs. I couldn't recommend Shelby enough.
I would be more than happy to talk about Shelby and her amazing heart for animals! Shelby is one of the most thoughtful, caring and loving people I know. When it comes to caring for her cats she is a step above. She provides her cats the vet care needed when they are sick as well as preventative. I have worked with Shelby as part of an animal rescue and would entrust her with any of my personal animals or fosters in a heartbeat. I know they wouldn't just be fed and given water, they would also receive attention and care. Most likely they would want to stay with her instead of going back home ha ha ha! I love that she is interested in Rover.com and anyone will be lucky to have her care for their pet.
Shelby is one of only a very short list of people I would fully trust to care for my dog, Luna, and my cats, Lucy and Ethel. She’s responsible, dependable, and genuinely loving with animals. I know my pets would be safe, comfortable, and well cared for with her.
