I am a vet tech with 17 years of experience. I can care for dogs and cats, and some pocket pets. I have a dog of my own and will bring her along for walks if requested. Will not walk with retractable leashes.

Shelbie is a very good dog sitter. She sent us pics and kept us updated during the stay. My dog is shy, but she seems comfortable with Shelbie and Shelbie's dog. Will love to have my dog stay with Shelbie and her dog again in the future.

I live very close to the Short Line trail for walks, and I have a fenced in back yard. I have the ability to comfortably separate pets into different rooms in my house if needed.

Please let me know if your pet has any medical issues, especially if it is cardiac-related. I also appreciate knowing what things makes pets nervous. Knowing this not only helps me approach your pet in a way that will be acceptable, but also helps if we’re out walking and another person and/or pet approaches us.
A typical day
On days where it’s not too hot or cold, I can walk with your dog for as far as you would like. You will need to leave me some treats, a bottle of water, and a pet-travel bowl for any walks over a mile.

Availability
My schedule is currently flexible. Dogs must be up to date on rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccines. I would prefer for dogs to be crate trained to give them a safe space if they get nervous while staying with me.
