Safety, trust & environment

I have a large fenced in yard with some wild critters about (bunnies andgroundhogs mostly). I would spend time taking walks, playing, and training along with all the essentials.

Information Shelbie K. would like to know about your pet

I need to understand your dogs needs and how/if they communicate them (i.e. going outside, boundaries for play/pet with humans and other dogs). Personality and size of the dog are good to know, as well as if they have any special needs or medication.

A typical day

I have lots of space for fetch and other playtime in the backyard. We can take walks around the neighborhood and sometimes take field trips to Hawk Island/Scott Woods parks.

Pet care experience

I'm an animal lover looking to spend more time away from the keyboard and would love to spend time taking care of your furry family member! I have 3 cats at home and lost my soul pup in the fall of 2025 💔. I've been on Rover for several years now, I grew up with cats and a dog, and have always been a huge animal lover. I've volunteered at the cat café in East Lansing keeping the cat room clean, performing wellness checks, and giving extra love to the kitties there. I've also volunteered at humane societies in my hometown and near my college by dog walking, socializing cats, and maintaining facilities as necessary. Reach out to me if you have any questions or if you'd like to see if we'd be a good fit!

Shelbie was so great with my shy kitty from the start - she warmed right up to her! She was super communicative and sent lots of updates during an overnight stay, including an incident of my cat throwing up + updates on how well she was eating afterward. I would recommend her to anyone!
