Here’s how pet care fits into our lives: Morning Routine: We start our day early with a morning walk or playtime, ensuring your pet gets a good start to their day. Midday Activities: Whether it’s a quick check-in, feeding, or a longer midday walk, we make sure your pet is well-cared for while you’re at work or out for the day. Evening Care: Our evenings are dedicated to winding down with your pet, including another walk, playtime, or simply some relaxing cuddles. Weekend Fun: Weekends offer more flexibility for extended play sessions, park visits, or any special activities your pet enjoys. Our commitment to pet care is evident in our seamless integration of these tasks into our daily lives, ensuring your pet receives constant attention and care. We’re here to provide a loving, safe environment for your pet every day of the week.

Information Shel H. would like to know about your pet
We always want your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and understood—so it helps to know a few things up front: Daily Routine: What does their typical day look like (meals, potty breaks, walk/play preferences)? Medical or Mobility Needs: Any allergies, medications, sensitivities, or age-related accommodations? Social Preferences: Are they nervous around new people, kids, dogs, or other pets? Do they prefer space or love cuddles? Triggers or Quirks: Anything that makes them anxious or extra excited (like thunder, the vacuum, doorbells)? Training & Commands: What cues or routines do they know and respond to? The more we know, the more we can keep things feeling familiar and low-stress.

Pet care experience
As a family deeply experienced in pet care, we bring a unique, loving touch to looking after your furry (or scaly) friends. Our home is a haven for animals, and we treat each pet as a cherished member of our own family. Whether you need someone to watch your pet while you enjoy a fun day out or during your busy work hours, we're here to help. What sets us apart from other sitters is our diverse experience with a wide range of species and breeds. We've cared for dogs, cats, bearded dragons, guinea pigs, degus, bunnies, chinchillas, gerbils, hedgehogs, mice, rats, fish, and even tarantulas. Among the dog breeds we've watched are American Staffordshire Terrier Mix, Aussie, Collie Mix, Doberman, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Lab Mix, Mountain Cur Mix, Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Plotthound Mix, Shepherd Mix, and Shiba Inu. This extensive experience allows us to cater to the specific needs of each pet, from playful puppies to senior companions, ensuring they receive the best care possible. Here's a note from our 13-year-old caretaker: "I have years of experience with working with animals and had a dog my whole life (I am very lucky), like all those dog breeds I have watched. I have taught my grandma's dog, who I used to watch, lots of tricks and my grandma really appreciates it. I really hope you let me watch your lovely and beautiful animals. Hope to see you and your pet soon. 😀😊" Let us provide your pets with a safe, loving environment while you’re away. We would love to help ensure your animals have a great time.

Reviews

Shel and her family were so great to work with. She took on an untrained puppy at the last minute and did a wonderful job. Thank you for taking good care of our little Oscar!

Shel did an amazing job stopping in while I was on vacation. She made sure to keep posted on how my cat was doing and gave my very social cat the attention he needed while I was gone. Will absolutely use again when I need someone checking on my cat.

We are just so grateful for families like, Shel’s, who love to nurture and care for pets. I knew our dog was going to be getting the attention he so craves. Shel took beautiful photos of our dog and updated us regularly so that we were able to set aside our anxieties about leaving him and enjoy our vacation.
Shel H. and her family took exceptionally good care of my 18 year old cat, Cody, at their home, from February 23rd to March 6th, 2024. Cody is a very sweet, good boy, with special needs as a senior cat. Shel and her family gave my Cody such loving, special, tender care. Cody purred every day with Shel's family members. They provided Cody with a calm, safe and happy environment. I am so pleased with their knowledgeable and loving care. I 100 % recommend their services to any pet owners. Pam S.
