Safety, trust & environment

I live in a condo with a small balcony. There are three off-leash dog parks within walking distance and I have a very full laundry hamper of toys. I believe that a dog care includes entertaining them, supporting their natural instincts, and engaging them mentally. As a result I have many brain games in the home and take them for nice, appropriate length walks, so they can sniff.

Pet care experience

Saturday and Sunday hikes. Each hike is 8-10 km. Starts around 9am and lasts 2-3 hours. Kindly note, allergic to birds. A couple note: * I don't own any pets but I do own plants * If you doggy-day-care request exceeds 8 hours, please select boarding as the service even if your love-bug is not staying the night * If your dog cannot be around other dogs for whatever reason, I'll need to raise the rate as I won't be able to accommodate another pet * If your dog needs 2+ hours of exercise per day I will need to add additional fees A few fun things about me: * I've fostered all types of dogs including the large cuddle-butts to the fierce tiny monsters * I have a special interest in anxious dogs and know I excel at decompressing them * I have trained many dogs * Reactive dogs are a-o-k with me and I know how to keep them safe * My dream job is training seeing-eye-dogs and hope to do that when I retire What you can expect: I will play cuddle feed and love them 💗 Our day can/will include dog-parks, cuddles, multiple walks, and sometimes a yard. I match my care of your cute-puppy-face to their particular needs and am happy to go for nice long walks with them around the seawall. My gym allows dogs and so please let me know how your puppy handles barbells dropping. I have a dog-friendly balcony and nice bed they can lay on but live moderately high-up so will need to know if your dog is a jump risk At my home I have 2 dogs at a time. When I do I make sure both are dog-friendly and match their energy levels so neither is overwhelmed by the other. When house sitting it'll only the dogs in your home Plus, I have toys, dogs beds, bowls, a dog gate, and a med/large dog crate. I also have treats and love to give them a raw human-grade beef bone when they stay for a few nights. The things I need to know from you: What is your pet's favourite game What is your pet's favourite treat Specifically, what time are they fed Specifically, what is their sleeping schedule How do they tell you they have to pee Will they destroy soft toys What makes them bark

Sheila took great care of our senior cat, Sascha. Sascha needs daily medicine and multiple feedings. Sheila handled all that without missing a beat and kept us up to date on Sascha while we were gone. Sascha was in great shape when we got back. Thank you so much Sheila!

Sheila was SO great with our Pyrenees puppy! She sent lots of pictures and feedback so we always felt like we were in touch and knew how each day was going. We came home to a happy healthy puppy, our house was spotless and we couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend Sheila! We will definitely be booking her again.

This was our first time leaving our pup and our home with a stranger and we're very pleased with how it went. Sheila was very patient and compassionate with our dog and his big feelings, she clearly has a wealth of experience caring for lots of dog and their different needs and personalities. Our house was spotless when we returned. Thank you Sheila for making our first Rover experience so positive.
