Availability
I am currently a full time Doctoral student, studying Audiology. My schedule changes constantly with my classes, but I try to keep my calendar up to date as much as possible. I’m available on weekends and my Tuesdays and Thursdays are usually open. As for other weekdays, I will be around 6am each morning, and usually after 5pm, but we can work through any scheduling adjustments as needed and I will make sure your pet still receives the best care!

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets, my top priority is ensuring their safety, comfort, and happiness. I provide personalized attention to each pet, taking time to understand their unique needs, routines, and preferences. During check-ins, I ensure they have fresh food and water, clean litter boxes or designated potty areas, and plenty of playtime and affection. For dogs, I offer walks that match their energy level. I am attentive to signs of stress or discomfort and communicate regularly with pet owners to provide updates and peace of mind (I know the feeling as a pet owner myself). My goal is to create a nurturing, stress-free environment where pets feel loved and cared for in their owners absence.
Information Sheila D. would like to know about your pet
Behavioral traits are very important for me to know ahead of time. I’d like to know about any anxiety or behavioral issues, such as fear of loud noises or aggression towards other animals.
A typical day
When I watch pets, I love engaging them in activities that keep them happy, active, and mentally stimulated. Whether it’s playing fetch or just giving them lots of pets and attention, I will ensure their needs are properly met.

Pet care experience
I have extensive experience in pet care, having grown up with two cats and a dog. I have continuously supported friends, family, and neighbors by watching and walking their dogs. Years of this hands-on experience has given me a deep understanding of animal behavior, care routines, and the patience and compassion required to ensure pets feel safe, happy, and loved.
Cat care experience

Sheila also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews

Great pet care taker and an excellent communicator overall. Thank you, Sheila!

Sheila was prompt with her visits and very kind with my kitties. She spent extra time playing with them and petting them. I will be happy to use her again!

Sheila is AWESOME! She was prompt to respond, courteous, friendly and attentive. She was on time to take my high energy English Bulldog puppy out for walks. She went above & beyond in the attention she gave my dog. This was my first time using Rover and she was great at guiding me through the process. Her communication was direct and clear. She is fantastic and I certainly will be hiring her for future needs.

Sheila has walked our dog Mochi several times. She has done a great job and Mochi is happy to see her.
