I’ve had dogs for the last 35 years so my days usually involve a long walk, or a swim (if appropriate) and then lots of love and cuddles and playtime. I'm also a photographer so you can bet I'll be taking lots of photos of these lovely companions.

Safety, trust & environment
It all depends on what the dog is used to and prefers. A recent dog that stayed two weeks would come into the bedroom at night but then wander out to the living room for remainder of night. Another dog preferred sleeping in a crate at night, which I provided. My last border liked sleeping on the bed with me.

A typical day
Always start the day with cuddles, then out to the backyard to play. Somewhere in the day we walk through the woods or go to the dog park..lots of exercise for us both. More play in the backyard at end of day, then finish day with more cuddles before bed.

Pet care experience
I’ve had 5 Old English Sheepdogs over the last 35 years and usually had two at a time. All but one were raised from puppies, trained, lovingly and gently looked after into their senior years. The other OES was a 6 year old rescue we saved from being euthanized. Sadly my last OES, who lived to the ripe old age of 14, passed away this year.
Reviews

Hudson spent his first day and night with Sheila and things went wonderful. She even provided dog dishes which I had forgotten. Thank you Sheila for taking such good care of our boy🤗

Sheila was absolutely wonderful looking after my anxious dog, Koda, this past weekend. From the start, she was kind, patient, and incredibly understanding of Koda’s needs. I was a little nervous leaving her, but Sheila made the whole experience completely stress-free. Koda settled in so quickly with her, which says everything about the calm and caring environment she provides. It was clear she felt safe and comfortable, and she genuinely loved spending the weekend with Sheila! Sheila was also very flexible with pick-up time, which I really appreciated and made things so much easier for me. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Sheila again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter. Thank you again, Sheila!

Our boy loved his time with Sheila ☺️ It’s heart warming when away to find someone who cares for your pet as their own. Thanks Sheila
Sheila is the best! She is so caring and loving to our senior dog. She problem solves finicky eating situations and nothing fazes her. I feel so relaxed leaving our dog with Sheila because I know she is well loved. Sheila communicates frequently and sends professional pictures (not only putting you at ease but a fantastic keepsake!). We are very grateful to Sheila.
