Pet care experience

Pet Caretaker and Vet Assistant

I have three years of pet care experience, including three years at a doggy daycare and boarding facility and two years as a veterinary assistant. I'm skilled in caring for pets of all ages, from playful puppies to senior animals needing extra attention. My veterinary background allows me to confidently handle medications, special diets, and recognize signs of illness. I’m also experienced with anxious or reactive pets and always prioritize their safety and comfort. What sets me apart is my blend of medical knowledge and compassionate, hands-on care.

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping them comfortable and sticking to their usual routines. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of playtime, and receive lots of attention and affection. I’m experienced with administering medications if needed and keeping the home tidy and secure while you're away. For dog walks, I focus on safe, engaging walks tailored to your dog’s energy level and needs. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate care so your pets feel safe and happy in their familiar environment.

Schedule

Pet care is an important and consistent part of my weekly routine. I currently work part-time as a veterinary assistant at a rescue hospital while completing my college degree in animal bioscience, which has deepened both my practical skills and understanding of animal health. Throughout college, I’ve also fostered cats, providing them with daily care, enrichment, and medical support as needed. Before that, I spent three years working at a doggy daycare and boarding facility, where I helped manage feeding, playtime, and behavioral monitoring. Whether through work, fostering, or my studies, caring for animals has always been a central and rewarding part of my daily life.
