Pet care is an important and consistent part of my weekly routine. I currently work part-time as a veterinary assistant at a rescue hospital while completing my college degree in animal bioscience, which has deepened both my practical skills and understanding of animal health. Throughout college, I’ve also fostered cats, providing them with daily care, enrichment, and medical support as needed. Before that, I spent three years working at a doggy daycare and boarding facility, where I helped manage feeding, playtime, and behavioral monitoring. Whether through work, fostering, or my studies, caring for animals has always been a central and rewarding part of my daily life.

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping them comfortable and sticking to their usual routines. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of playtime, and receive lots of attention and affection. I’m experienced with administering medications if needed and keeping the home tidy and secure while you're away. For dog walks, I focus on safe, engaging walks tailored to your dog’s energy level and needs. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate care so your pets feel safe and happy in their familiar environment.

Information Shea M. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your animal has any sort of aggression issues. I am comfortable handling aggressive or reactive animals but would like to know about it in advance. Please let me know if any allergies or medical problems that your dog or cat has.

A typical day

I provide daily walks and outdoor playtime when there’s a safe, fenced-in area available. Indoor playtime with toys keeps pets entertained and active, while regular brushing helps them feel comfortable and cared for. When appropriate and permitted, I enjoy taking pets on car rides or walks in public to offer new sights and experiences. I always make sure to balance activity with plenty of relaxation time and affection, creating a calm and loving environment for every pet.
