I am currently working as an early childhood educator, and would love to build on my flexible schedule with pet sitting and drop ins! I am available afternoons and evenings, as well as the occasional early mornings.

Please let me know of any special instructions your pet needs, such as any medications that may need to be administered or any special instructions that may need to be attended to. I am happy to give your pet the extra attention and care it may need, and have background knowledge when looking out for unusual behaviors and/or any first aid pets may need. I am also able to work with behavioral pets, and have experience in the past with working with pets who struggle with connecting to new people, so please make me aware of any special needs your pet may have!

I have been caring for animals my whole life, and have a passion when it comes to working with animals. Growing up, I have always had dogs and cats, and have also worked with horses and goats. I am extremely comfortable with all animals and have some experience looking after reptiles as well. I have worked at a vet clinic for the past 4 years and feel the knowledge and experience I gained there aids me in my ability to care for pets with their best interests in mind. I can administor oral and injection medications, perform animal first aid/cpr, recognize unusual behaviors/acute illness, care for elderly pets, medically dependant/complex pets, and also am able to work with behavioral pets who may struggle to connect with new people and/or are reactive to other animals. I pride myself on my ability to understand the individual personalities of each pet, and their specific wants/needs. I love working with animals and connecting with new pets and their families! I am extremely active and can keep up with your high energy pets! I also pride myself on staying in contact with families and sending lots of updates and pictures during walks/drop ins.

Shayna was wonderful with our w cats and 2 dogs. She stayed with them in our house, gave them lots of love, sent us updates every day. She was thoughtful and communicative and gentle. They were happy and very well cared for an we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will book her again without hesitation. Thanks, Shayna!
Shayna stayed with our dogs for a week while we were on vacation and she did an excellent job! Very professional and respectful of our home and gave the dogs lots of attention! We would highly recommend her for any pet need you have.
Shayna is amazing with our Great Pyrenees, Koda! Koda gets so excited when she comes over because he knows it means extra playtime and lots of extra snuggles. Koda weighs 110lbs and sometimes pulls when he is taken on walks, however, Shayna is able to handle him with ease. I'm comfortable with Shayna in our home, and as a bonus, she sends me the occasional pup photo!
Shayna has taken care of several of my dogs over the years. From dropping in to let them potty, to staying overnight at my house while I go out of town, to watching my puppy while I was on military orders, she has always been available, professional, & taken such good care of my dogs. She will play with them outside & gives them the BEST tummy rubs. When they see her they run right to her because they’ve come to love her so much. She’s trustworthy, & always manages to leave my house cleaner than I left it. She’s skilled at administering medications for pets, & calming down anxious pups during storms. Highly recommend!!
