When visiting a pet in their home, I make sure to respect their space and routine. I let them approach me in a way that is comfortable to them to avoid stress. I follow the instructions the owner gives to me, from feeding, to walks, and playtime. Safety is my top priority. I want pets to feel comfortable and happy well I'm there, so I take my time to know them, give them attention, and play as needed. I'm responsible, reliable, and I treat each home and pet as if they're my own. I want owners to feel confident in my abilities!

A typical day
It all depends on the pet and the instructions given to me. I love walks, plying fetch, and some nice petting is both therapeutic for not only your pet but for me too!

Pet care experience
I've always had pets, big and small. Growing up, I had dogs of all sizes, including a pitbull. As of right now, I live with cats. I've also had a bunny, three hamsters, and a rat, so I'm used to taking care of different types of animals. I know how to handle pets with different personalities - from energetic dogs who need walks and playtime to cats who like their space. I'm reliable, patient, and I really enjoy spending time with animals. My goal is to always make sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved well their humans are away.

I’ve known Shaylah for years, and she’s genuinely one of the most responsible and caring people I’ve ever met. She’s incredibly smart, dependable, and always goes above and beyond for others — especially animals. I would trust her with any pet, knowing they’d be loved, safe, and well taken care of. Any pet parent would be lucky to have Shaylah looking after their furry friend!
Shaylah is wonderful. I took a family vacation and we couldn't take our dog with us. We hired her to check in, feed and walk our dog. She did a great job at it and sent us photos of how happy Sparky was to hang with her. She was very reliable and trustworthy, we would have her again. We also introduced her to our chickens (which are self sufficient) but she also took the time to visit and collect our eggs daily for us. That was a bonus, no broody hens! Thanks Shaylah.
