I volunteered at a cat rescue for approx. 3 years, the rescue sanctuary itself and fostering unofficially specializing with shy cats. I’ve grown up with cats and dogs, my dogs were both medium sized, and am happy spending time with & taking care of both. I’m comfortable and experienced in administering medication to cats and dogs as well as supporting under socialized cats.

Shayla is great! She was super responsive and available, and Ella evidently loved her.
Shayla was excellent and very communicative throughout the entire booking. I especially appreciated the daily notes and photo updates. Muffin is very shy, but she opened up, flopped, and played during the visits. Not only was Shayla great with Muffin, but she was also very respectful of my home and left everything clean and tidy. Highly recommended!!!
Shayla provided our senior cat, Kiki with the best care while we were away on vacation. Her updates were comprehensive and she went above and beyond in ensuring Kiki was well taken care of. I would recommend Shayla without hesitation!
Shayla was amazing with Winston. Fully understanding and mindful of his anxiety and sillyness. Sent us daily photo and video updates. Winston says 5 stars , would board again. Thank you once again Shayla!
This was the second time we had Shayla do drop ins to feed our cat Boo. We were again more than happy with her excellent care, Shayla reliably did the visits and ensured that Boo is doing well. Boo was still rather shy, but Shayla found her way to keep her entertained.
Shayla watched our senior cat for a couple of days. Upon meeting her we instantly felt at ease knowing our special boy would be well taken care of. The pictures and descriptions provided allowed us to fully enjoy our vacation away, feeling completely assured that our cat was being taken care of. Thank you Shayla!

Schedule
After working as a social worker for several years I am now in graduate school completing my masters. My availability through the week and weekends is currently flexible. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and see what best works for our schedules and your pet’s care.

This can vary depending on different needs from your pet, I’m open to working on specific needs. For drop in visits I’ll spend 30 minutes with them, feeding & water bowl top up, cleaning litter, grooming (if they’re interested), outside time (as applicable), and, of course, plenty of play time!
Pets
A typical day
I love spending time with animals, socializing with snuggles and playtime. Whether that’s engaging them to get some exercise with toys or getting some lovings in while you’re out, it’s a familiar activity that I’ll be happy to do. I’ll also be sure to send you plenty of pictures so you can see how your fur baby is doing and what they’re up to with me.
