I aim to provide the best quality care by catering to each pet’s unique needs and giving them my full attention during our time together. I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of playtime for mental stimulation and physical activity—with lots of love and cuddles too! I care for and love each pet like my own, and I will provide food, water, medications, and potty breaks as instructed. I can host small to medium pets in my apartment or come to your home, and I’ll send regular updates so you always know your pet is safe, happy, and loved! 🐾🩷

It’s the first time we had our Shitzu with Shayla and she took great care of him. He thoroughly enjoyed his stay and was very comforting for us to know that he was in a home away from home.
Shayla was wonderful with my cat Chaos. He felt right at home almost immediately, even though he can be very shy with new people. Shayla sent lots of photos and videos and kept me consistently updated. I would definitely trust her to watch Chaos again!

Shayla was very accommodating of my last minute request and time change which I appreciated! She was super sweet with my anxious dog Alvin and I felt confident he was in good hands. Alvin has separation anxiety and I was relieved to hear that Shayla could stay with him the whole day. Will definitely book again.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety is my top priority! Dogs are always on a leash or harness for walks and kept leashed in hallways and stairwells. I live across from a park with paved paths and forest trails for safe outdoor time. Off-leash play can happen at your home if you have a securely fenced yard, but I do not take dogs to off-leash dog parks. Cats are safely transferred in carriers, and all doors are kept closed to prevent escapes. I always follow your instructions for entering and exiting your home so your pets can enjoy their adventures worry-free and stay happy and safe.
A typical day
When I have a pet in my life, my whole world revolves around them. My routine will revolve around your pet’s needs, but typically includes a mix of playing and cuddling. While I encourage you to bring toys from home, I have a small collection of toys for both cats and dogs in my apartment.

- Please let me know if your pet has any special medical or behavioural needs, and I will do my best to accommodate them. The more details you share about your furbaby, the better I can create a familiar routine tailored to your pet’s unique temperament and preferences. I kindly ask that all pets entering my home be up to date on vaccines and free of fleas. If your pet is feeling unwell, please communicate with me ahead of time so I can understand their symptoms and care needs. I may need to refuse care if an illness is contagious or could put other pets at risk in order to keep my home a safe environment for everyone. For everyone’s safety, I also ask to be informed of any bite history or fear-reactive behaviours—big or small—so we can discuss them during the meet and greet and make sure your pet feels supported and safe.
