Huge Fenced-In Yard, Fast Walker
I’m a grad student walking and boarding dogs to help pay for tuition, and honestly, for the stress relief too :) I’ve been the go-to pet sitter for friends and colleagues for years. I have experience with everything from loose-leash training (self-taught, not a pro trainer!) to caring for senior dogs. I’ve also cared for dogs with medical needs such aa oral medication to injections. As a Type A, ultra-reliable dog lover, I’ll treat your best friend like my own so that you can relax knowing they’re in great hands.

My pup Louis LOVED his stay with Shayla and her sweet dogs. When booking and discussing pick-up, drop off, and introduction, Shayla was communicative and responsive and went above and beyond keeping me up to date about how Louis was doing during his stay. As a pet-parent, my expectations were exceeded, and Louis has been asking when he can go back to Shayla’s house!
Shayla was wonderful. She took very good care of my Orion and was very communicative. She sent me many pictures!🥰 I also appreciated that she took the time to make sure the dogs got along and fortunately they all did very well together! 🙂 Would 100% use her again whenever I am back in this area 10/10.
Shayla is a very kind, competent and dependable. Our Labrador is beyond ecstatic when she arrives and loves his walks. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Shayla for dog walks or boarding.
Shayla is an amazing pet sitter! She treated our pup Bailey like her own. Bailey had constant access to playing with her pups in their awesome backyard. And she provided lots of photos and updates! We will definitely be using Shayla as our dog sitter again!
Shayla did an excellent job with a check in for Daisy. Typically Daisy is very hesitant meeting new people but quickly warmed up to Shayla. I really appreciated all the updates Shayla gave and how quickly she was able to respond to a last minute request.
Shayla walks my two doodles several times per week. They are obsessed with Shayla. She starts the walk at my house and takes them anywhere from 2-4 miles at a time. They respect her and walk right by her side for every walk even though they’ve been known to pull. My dogs always come home mentally stimulated (and exhausted). Shayla is a very good at what she does.

Schedule
I’m a grad student with a flexible schedule this summer. My job is part-time and hybrid, so I often work from home. My husband (also a dog lover) works from home everyday.

Safety, trust & environment
My husband and I have a huge fenced-in yard: perfect for zoomies, fetch, and sunbathing! Our two sweet dogs love when we host other pups which means instant playmates. We also have a dog door which means your pup can go outside whenever they need. We’re rarely gone for more than a couple hours, and if we ever need to be away longer, you’ll always know ahead of time.

A typical day
A tired dog is a good dog! I live by this and always walk dogs for at least 30 minutes a day, but I usually aim for an hour. That is, of course, if your dog likes long walks! I meet all dogs at their energy needs.
