With a background spanning three decades in pet care, I pursued a degree in Animal Science, specializing in animal handling and husbandry at University. I ventured into professional pet care four years ago, offering services both at my residence and at my clients' homes. I provide drop-in visits, overnight stays, dog walking, boarding and extended care for pets. Proficient in administering medications, including insulin injections, and equipped with basic first-aid skills, I ensure the well-being of animals under my care. My family comprises of my husband, three teens, and one elementary kid, along with our two crate-trained, pet-friendly small dogs and one indoor cat with a cat condo. A dedicated pet-sitting room is available for our furry guests, along with dog-walking services and visits to the local dog park if so desired. We treat every pet as if they were our own, offering grooming, bathing, and nail trimming services for both cats and dogs. Rest assured, your beloved pet will be pampered and cared for as part of our extended family for those wishing to have me care for your loved one in my home. If you prefer the convenience of having me drop in to care for your pets in the comfort of your own home, rest assured I are more than happy to accommodate households with multiple pets or one single pet. This option is ideal for those seeking to maintain their pets' routine and sense of security without the stress of traveling or disrupting their familiar surroundings. I am flexible and can tailor care to follow any specific routines you have established for your pets, ensuring their normal feeding schedules and potty breaks are maintained. Whether you have dogs, cats, or a mix of both, or reptiles, I am dedicated to providing the care and attention your furry companions need while you're away.

Shayla is my go-to dog sitter! Anytime I need to be away for the night or the week, I know I can trust my dog in her care. Our dog is a senior at 12 years old and disabled. She needs adequate care with appropriate attention. I never have to worry when our dog is in her care! I get daily updates and when I return home, my dog is always happy and healthy. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Despite the demands of family responsibilities, I have successfully integrated professional pet sitting and grooming into my routine since 2019. With the unwavering support of my family, I will work to ensure that every pet under my care receives the quality attention and care they deserve. To maintain the high standards I uphold, I deliberately limit bookings, ensuring that I never compromise on the level of care provided. This deliberate approach guarantees that I can fulfill commitments without overextending myself, safeguarding the well-being of both our family and your beloved pets. The approach to caring for your pets will vary depending on the service you opt for. When visiting your home, I will diligently adhere to any instructions provided regarding your pets' care routine. I will ask you to show me where you keep their food, how much is given and when, and the location the bowl(s) will be placed to eat and whether multiple pets must be separated during meals. I am committed to maintaining a clean environment, providing fresh water daily, promptly addressing any accidents, and ensuring the home remains tidy during your absence. Furthermore, I will seek your input on acceptable toys, furniture boundaries, and room access for your pets. By incorporating your preferences, I aim to create a comfortable and familiar environment for your furry companions. Your provision of toys and treats will aid in building a bond through play and rewards. Additionally, I will inquire about walking permissions for your dog, requesting that a leash, collar, and doggy bags are available. For pet care in our home, I limit stays to one pet family at a time (two pets max) to provide exclusive accommodations in our spare room. Initially, your pet(s) will have a get-to-know-you period to acclimate to our household members and surroundings. As comfort levels increase, they will have access to our home and backyard respectively, gradually integrating with our pets at a pace that ensures mutual security and well-being. I prioritize a smooth and gradual introduction process to prevent any unexpected incidents. During walks in my neighborhood, I will utilize your provided leash and collar or harness for your dog's safety. Your pet's food routine will be respected and followed with the food you provide, using the stainless-steel bowls we provide, unless you prefer to bring your own bowls. For puppies or dogs in need of containment, I offer a spacious crate with bedding and toys, tailored to their comfort and security. Information on crate training will be gathered to ensure your pet's well-being and reduce stress. Additionally, I am open to including your pet in pet-friendly errands for an enjoyable outing. My goal is to create a welcoming and happy environment for your furry family member, prioritizing their comfort and well-being above all else.
