I work from home so my schedule is very flexible. I don't have to travel much for work so I can be available on weekends and holidays.

I have a large fenced yard and live close to some lovely trails. I tend to leave the patio door open so they can go in and out as they want, but will modify that if a dog requires more 'oversight'. Pets have run of the house so I let them go where they are comfortable. Unless specifically directed, I don't crate dogs. My general philosophy is that dogs are part of the family so I treat them like that. However, if a pet parent has specific instructions (like not getting on furniture) I honour their requests.

Because I do work from home, I cannot provide constant attention but I have looked after dogs with a variety of energy levels. I tend to have multiple dogs at one time so it is important that they get along with other dogs.
A typical day
I have a big back yard that the dogs have constant access to, as well as a variety of toys. Depending on the time I take the dogs on sniffer walks to the nearby pond.

Pet care experience
I have had pets my whole life. I grew up on a farm so I have experience with a wide range or animals, but I really love dogs and cats. Pets are family and I will love yours like my own. I have experience administering topical and oral medications as well.

Shawneen was very accommodating and clearly very relaxed around dogs. My Westies had a good day, and they were both tired when they got home. A bonus that there were a couple of other dogs to play with. I would definitely recommend Shawneen to other pet parents and will connect with Shawneen again when the need arises.
