I work full time as a vet assistant on weekdays so unfortunately it's difficult for me to add any weekly recurring visits, but I will try to to be accommodating. If you're going out of town or have a special occasion, I would love to help out with your pet care needs. I can do short neighborhood walks or even take your dog on a hike if they have a lot of energy to burn, give love and playtime, as well as feedings and cleaning litter boxes, etc.

A typical day
I will stick to your routine and rules to the best of my ability to keep your pets comfortable. Depending on their temperament, your pets will get tons of playtime and love from me! I will give them all the scratches they want and, of course, stop once they've had enough. I love going for walks and exploring neighborhoods and parks, and I'm always up for a good hike if that's what your pup needs. If your pets are more low key, I'm just as happy to snuggle on a couch, hang out with them while they sunbathe in the yard, or just feed them and clean the litter box if that's how they roll.

Pet care experience
Growing up, I had a golden retriever/cocker spaniel mix and continued to dog sit him for my parents on their camping weekends after I moved out. I've had cats with nearly every roommate, but when my husband and I moved in together, we weren't allowed any pets, so I started working for Rover in 2021. Life just isn't the same without animals around my home! I also used to volunteer as a dog walker/cat petter at an animal shelter for about a year, until I moved away from that area. We moved to Arrowbear Lake in April 2023 and adopted two wonderful kittens a few months later.

Overall, Shawna was good with our pets. Consistently, visited with them, fed and cared for them on schedule. I would consider her the next I need a pet sitter.
Shawna did such a great job with our cats! One of my cats needs an oral medication every day (and isn’t happy about it) and Shawna not only handled it just fine, she also communicated with me every day about her medication. We came home to a clean house and happy cats! The best part was the awesome photos she sent every day.
Shawna is just amazing with my anxiety ridden deaf dog Cosmo! She is brilliant with all aspects of care!
