Reiki Master/Certified Dog Trainer
Holistic in-home boarding retreat! Daily exercise, safe socialization, playtime, cuddles, flower essences, and more! Special programs are now available such as 1) CAMP - trail hikes, biking, treadmill, agility, field trips 2) TRAINING TUNE UP - training lessons each day, focusing on basic manners, leash walking, recall, impulse control, and conditioned relaxation. 3) SPA RETREAT - canine massage, Reiki energy healing, red light therapy, and extra cuddles 1:1 time. In most cases, I require a Meet and Greet/Trial Day to ensure that your pup will do well in my home. We chat about your dog and then you leave for a few hours (good opportunity to run errands!). After this, I become your dog’s safe home away from home when you need it! 😊❤️ If you are not local and looking for care while you visit the Hi-Desert, let me know, and we can see if it seems like a good fit. 😊 PLEASE NOTE FOR HOUSE SITTING IN YOUR HOME: My rate includes the overnight hours (9p-6a) and two drop-ins during the day- midday and dinnertime.

Shawna is absolutely amazing! Best experience I've had with a pet sitter. She is very experienced and was able to handle all four of my large dogs. She sent pictures and lots of updates with every visit and gave me much peace of mind that my dogs were happy and taken care of. Shawna truly goes above and beyond for her clients!

Shawna was amazing. I’m always very nervous about leaving my pets with anyone, but I could tell from the first day that my senior boy was in great hands. She treated him as though he was her own and gave me daily updates. My dog fell asleep for hours as soon as we got home, so I know he had a good time. I will use Shawna as our pet sitter from now on, if she’s available.
Shawna was dependable and professional. My dog felt comfortable with her and I’m definitely going to be hiring her again.

My mother, who is also a Reiki Master, lives with me and loves to help with our guests and keep everyone company. She says she is everyone’s “Oma.” ❤️ Our home is a safe place with warmth and care, and your animals will feel this during their stay! 🥰

A typical day
In addition to providing exercise, I strive to create a peaceful environment and experience for my clients' pets. It is already hard for them to be without their owners, so my goal is to reduce stress, leaving them more at ease than they were before I arrived. As a Reiki Master Practitioner and Certified Dog Trainer, I consider every interaction that I have with an animal to be sacred and valuable, both from a behavioral perspective and an energetic one!
