Dog loving family-large yard
Hello my name is Shawna! I live with my husband, our 3 boys 5 and under , and our 2 puppies Kya and Willow. I have many years of dog and farm animal experience. I live on just over an acre of land in the Ranchettes which is a rural neighborhood 5 miles from Punta Gorda Airport. Our entire property is fenced (even the driveway) and the gate is always shut so no need to worry about your dog running off. Our family loves to be outside with the dogs. If it is a hot day we make sure the dogs don’t stay out too long and keep them hydrated. We play fetch or just let the dogs explore on their own. While inside the dogs will be allowed to roam freely and given plenty of attention and treated like our own. There is a chance your dog’s stay can overlap with another . For that reason I only take friendly, non aggressive dogs.

Shawna is absolutely wonderful with my dogs! She is caring, attentive, reliable, and treated my pups like her own. My dogs love being around her boys and her two dogs as well and gets lots of play time and attention. I felt completely comfortable knowing my dogs were in such good hands, and I really appreciated the updates and communication while I was away. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. I would definitely recommend Shawna and will happily book with her again!
As always, Shawna takes such wonderful care of my Mr. Monty! He always gets excited when he goes over Shawna’s house. Despite being a Dalmatian, she always manages to poop him out (which is a feat in itself). You can tell she cares for animals as if they’re her own. Thank you again, as always, for your close care of Monty!!
Shawna is an excellent sitter . I never wondered what Lucki was doing because she always had me updated. She was a big yard for the dogs. I would leave Lucki with her anytime I needed it sitter

Schedule
I only work part time 2 days a week and my husband works overnight so he is home with the dogs when I’m at work

I care for them in my home like I do my own dog. Walking and feeding will be done based on each dogs needs. Medications can be given. All dogs will be closely monitored while outside.

A typical day
Supervised outdoor time in a large fenced area . Plenty of down time relaxing freely in the house. Lots of attention given by us and the kids

- Please leave dog bowls at home a I have plenty. If your dog has a special feeding need such as an elevated bowl or slow feeder those are fine to bring. Toys that they are not super possessive over are welcome.. any crate bed or blanket they sleep in or on please bring. Please no rawhide or cow ear type treats. Any milk bone or fast eating treats you want to bring are fine. I can not take in agressive dogs who aren’t good with kids or other dogs around. No dogs with food aggression although I do feed everyone in their own safe space. I Need to know if your dog will try and escape the fence such as dig or jump the fence. Will they come back inside if called? If not they will need to be leash walked. We are always outside with the dogs but our fenced in area is large. Will your dog sleep over night or will they need to be let out overnight? Does your dog have frequent accidents in the house? Does your dog have any unusual quirks ?
