When caring for your pets in your home, I focus on keeping the routine as familiar and stress-free as possible. I follow your instructions closely for feeding, walks, litter, box, care, playtime, and any special needs or medications. During each visit, I’ll also check that everything is in good order in your home and send updates and photos so you know how your pets are doing. My goal is to give you peace of mind and make sure your pets feel cared for, calm, and loved until you return.

Before booking, please share any important details about your pet’s behavior, routine, feeding or medical needs so I can provide the best care possible. Since I have my two children with me during some visits, I ask that pets are comfortable around kids. My children are gentle and used to animals. I always prioritize safety and your pet’s comfort.

A typical visit with me is pretty simple and centered around your pets comfort. I make sure they have freshwater, food if needed, and everything is in order. For dogs, I usually head out for a walk based on their energy. I always follow their lead and what they enjoy most. For cats, I handle the basics like litter, food, and water, and then spend a little time with them however they’re comfortable. Playtime if they’re into it, or just calm company if they’re more independent. I always end each visit with care and updates so you know how everything went.

Hi! I am Shawna. I’m a five star Rover sitter with 32 verified reviews, now offering drop in visits and dog walking. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals and truly enjoy spending time with them. I grew up with cats and dogs, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. While I no longer provide boarding or doggy daycare in my home, I’d love to help make your day a little easier by caring for your pet in the place they’re most comfortable-their own home. Whether your dog needs a walk, a potty break, fresh food, and water, or just someone to throw a ball and give them some attention, I’m happy to help. For cats, I’m just as happy to refresh litter boxes, feed them, play with them, or simply sit with them if they’re the quiet type who enjoys company. As a stay-at-home mom, reliability and kindness are important to me. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I don’t take that lightly. My goal is for you to come home to a happy pet and to feel confident knowing they were well cared for while you were away. I’ll always treat your pets with patience, love, and respect and I’ll send photos and updates so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. (My favorite part about being a Rover sitter!) I left my two year old Kaz with Shawna over Thanksgiving weekend when I was in a pinch to find a sitter and I couldn’t have been more pleased with Shawna and her family! Shawna and her family were super sweet to me but also to Kaz for welcoming him in their home! She went above and beyond, and Kaz had a fantastic vacation himself! Shawna is the perfect dog sitter!
We left our 13 year old dog with Shawna and family while we took an extended trip. He loves kids and does well with a routine. Our dog was so happy there. I wish we had found her sooner. Shawna followed our pets routine bed and medication routine, and sent us pictures. She went way beyond expectation!! He has been anxious sometimes when we were away, but he attached to her home & family so well-didn’t show any anxiety while we were gone. We will use Shawna again when we leave town. She was exceptional! Thanks again, Shawna!!
