Hello! My name is Shawna! I've worked professionally with dogs of all breeds and ages for nearly my entire life. I grew up in a family that ran a boarding kennel in Juneau, Alaska, and currently own and operate Dandy Dog Daycare and Boarding there. I am looking to offer services while I'm here in Yakima during my transition to permanently relocate here! I am well-versed in animal behaviors and interaction and focus on the health, safety and comfort of the pets in my care. I can provide nail trims and basic brush out depending on your pets needs. I'm comfortable working with all breeds, ages and sizes and I am pet CPR certified. I will be offering pet care in my home to begin with but I will be expanding my pet services shortly! Get in early to establish your pet with me ☺️

Shawna, thank you for hosting Chester. Thanks for showing him love. You were easy to communicate with and clearly have a love for animals. Thanks for making it easy for and my family to take a 4 day weekend. We definitely book again if we are back this direction.
Shawna watched our puppy for an afternoon. Our dog typically has some separation anxiety but seemed to immediately warm to Shawna and enjoyed her day with new friends (Shawna and her little girl). I look forward to booking again with Shawna!
Shawna was so amazing with our pups! Clear communication, very patient, and trustworthy. They loved their stay, and I loved being able to relax on my trip knowing the dogs were taken care of :)

Shawna was amazing! Our dog Teeter and required some extra attention during her stay due to medical issues and Shawna managed it all super great! I highly recommend Shawna! Her place is a doggie paradise and she is a highly capable sitter!

I will be working from home so your pet will be a part of family life here! They will be out for potty and exercise breaks often throughout the day.

I care for pets like my own, they will be in the main house with my family and senior dog! We have the ability to create overnight if that is something your pet is used to! There is a four foot fenced yard that would be accessible to pets that do not have a tendency to jump out of enclosure. If you are concerned your pup may test fences, I am also able to do leashed potty breaks and walks.

I love thinking of new activities to keep pets busy! We do a lot of brain puzzles, scent work, and basic training to keep their minds working. I also offer paw art sessions and youre more than likely going to take home a keepsake when you return!
