After becoming an owner to a reactive, human-aggressive pit mix in my early 20s, I developed a deep passion for understanding dogs—not just through training, but through their psychology, genetics, and biological needs. That experience taught me that behavior is often a reflection of a dog’s overall wellbeing, and that dogs thrive when they have opportunities to fulfill the instincts and needs they were bred for. As a mom, I also understand how difficult it can be to balance your dog’s needs with family, work, and everyday life. That’s why I founded Fulfilling Canine: to help busy families give their dogs a more enriching, fulfilling life while building a deeper understanding of their individual needs. I believe every dog is unique, and my approach starts with meeting each dog where they are. I consider the bigger picture—including genetics, environment, physical and psychological needs, stress, learning history, and the relationship between dog and handler—rather than simply addressing behaviors in isolation. My training approach is individualized and balanced, with a strong emphasis on relationship-building, play, engagement, communication, and trust.
