I'm currently just working a few days a week in a restaurant, no other commitments. Plus it's the longest I've ever been without companion animal of my own, so I have extra time and love to give at the moment.

If the pet has any special needs, medications, special diets, etc. we can address that ahead of time. I have experience in all sorts of situations after years in veterinary offices and kennels.
A typical day
I love exploring nature, walks, hikes, swimming, etc. Play at the beach, discover dog parks if applicable. Maybe find a patio to rest at for snacks.

Have had pets my entire life, bred multiple reptiles in the past, have had several dogs over the years, exotics, still have a 23 year old african grey who is my middle child who won't leave the nest, spent a decade volunteering at a no-kill shelter, multiple animal rescues, have worked in multiple veterinary offices, been vegetarian since 1997, worked as a vegan chef in several restaurants, and still love to cook for potlucks, friends and fun!

My cat, who is normally shy with people, felt comfortable with Shawn right away. He spent a lot of quality time with her and I could tell through the photos he sent that she was relaxed and content. He was also prompt in communicating by text. Shawn has a great rapport with animals and I would definitely hire him again in the future.
Shawn has been a previous volunteer at a pet shelter with me for 7 years where we cleaned kennels, let dogs out, fed and watered them, and assisted with adoption events. He has worked in many fields involving pets throughout the years such as assisting with boarding and vet’s assistant. he has had several pets which he loved and cared for.
