Please let me know about any specific needs, preferences, or personality quirks (I've walked a dog who was reactive only to cyclists). I am comfortable administering medications, if that is needed as well.
A typical day
After working in a shelter, I appreciate that different dogs have different preferences, just like us. I am an avid walker and hiker and happy to take long adventures. Or hang out in the backyard with toys and snuffle mats.

I have cared for friends' pets throughout the years and always enjoyed spending more time with them while also helping out a friend in need. I also have experience working in a shelter environment and volunteer at a wildlife rehab facility in Hancock County. I recently returned to school and am graduating as a licensed veterinary technician from UMA Bangor. I look forward to providing the care you need for your pets with the skills and knowledge of a licensed professional.

Shawn has a natural way with animals. She has stayed overnight with my 80lb rescue greyhound many times and has taken excellent care of my baby. Shawn is responsible, detail oriented, and extremely trustworthy. My pup is quite anxious and has some significant resource and location guarding behaviors, as well as difficulties interacting with other dogs. Shawn navigates these challenges with respect, care, and ease. She is also attentive to my home and often leaves it cleaner than when I left it! I highly recommend Shawn's services and trust her with any pet of mine.
