CALLING ALL #VEGASSTRONG FUR FAMILIES!!! Look no further because you’ve found your fur baby’s next stand-in best friend! 🐾 I am an animal loving Navy veteran and professional dog trainer from Washington, DC who moved to Vegas in Oct 2022. I've been caring for dogs professionally for about 8 years now but have always been around the fur babies of friends and family since a child. In this time I have walked and cared for quite a few dogs ranging in size, breed and personality! 🐾🐾 I'm generally a very active person so if your need someone who will tucker your high energy dog out, I'm your guy! I also simply enjoy playing with dogs whether its inside with their favorite toy, outdoors in their yard or at their favorite park. 🐾🐾🐾 I am super nurturing and LOVE to snuggle and cuddle with the best of them. I'm also very attentive and would have no problem caring for your fur baby if they're on any medications or have conditions that need extra support and care. For senior dogs who have joint and muscle issues, I enjoy giving massages just as much as they enjoy receiving them! 🐾🐾🐾🐾 As of June 2026, I began taking the Good Pup dog trainer course offered by Rover to refreshen my knowledge and skillset. I look forward to adding Rover-certified R+ dog training to the list of pet care services I provide in the near future!

As they say, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” At the end of the day, I’m a service provider in your home and I’m going to respect your space as such. Feel free to have a physical or digital list of the rules and reminders for the humans and animals in your home. Since I will be providing services in your home, the rules you already have in place for your dog and guests will be enforced and respected. 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 My motto in life is to leave an experience in the same condition or better than when it started and I take that philosophy into my pet care as well. I will always clean/straighten up any areas/rooms that I’ve used while taking care of your furry little family member. Any spaces and rooms that are off-limits will be respected. The IT professional in me really appreciates the principle of least privilege/need-to-know and will always keep to just the areas needed to take care of your fluffy one while you’re away.

Shawn has been such a joy watching our dog! He’s definitely put our nerves to rest while away on vacation and seeing the videos of our dog being taken care of. Would definitely be using his services again!
We’re still in love with Shawn!! Last weekend he did a four night/five day overnight stay visit with both the Bandy pup and Diva Dog Tippy. Got great daily communication and pix, and not once did I worry about them. In fact I suspect they didn’t really pay me mych thought as their loyalty, particularly Bandy’s(!) switches over pretty quick when their second fave human is around! Very respectful of the house as always! Only one complaint (tongue in cheek) I very specifically told Shawn he was NOT to let Bandy grow any bigger in my absence and he COMPLETELY DISREGARDED MY INSTRUCTION!!! I came home to a pup double in size!! 🤣😣😞🤯😂 I hate how fast puppies grow but am so glad Shawn’s been with us on this adventure!!

Shawn has been key to helping me with my very young pup-9 weeks now. He came over for a meet & greet which is not a requirement and was unpaid on his end, and spent over an hour getting to know my pup-AND my other dog who I neglected to mention (but does not need care). Shawn has done 60 min. Drop ins the past couple weeks and is regularly scheduled for recurring visits weekly. SO COMMUNICATIVE which I love! And he is working on training with my pup-leaving me progress/what we worked on notes, which enables me to continue whatever he’s worked on and vice versa. My first ever Rover hire and damn..maybe I just got crazy lucky!!
Shawn was a good sitter for me and my kitten. I appreciate his flexible and his care to my kitten. I was worried due to past sitters and im glad that Shawn took good care of my baby. He was communicative with me, always keeping me informed and I could easily reach him, as needed. He was descriptive in his rover cards and that helped ease my mind on how the visit with my kitten went. I asked for him to check on my kitten’s automatic food dispenser and water fountain, along with cleaning out her litter daily.

Schedule
When I'm not providing pet care services, I typically work 8-12hr shifts on the strip as an event crew member for the various events at the hotels/convention centers. I’m also taking online classes at Nevada State University to become an IT Support and Cybersecurity Specialist. Fortunately my schedule is flexible enough to allow me the opportunity to give your fur baby all the attention they need. 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 My tech classes are all online and I have the ability to pick and choose my work schedule. So if I am pet sitting, I can select shorter shifts that would allow me to give your fur baby as much attention as possible. For those looking for a consistent walker, my schedule can allot for that as well. Outside of work and school hours, your fur baby and home will get my full undivided attention. 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 In my downtime I like to focus on my own self care. Whether it’s yoga or running, or curling up with a good book or show/movie, I find it easy for me to incorporate quality time with fur babies into these moments…especially the ones who love human companionship. Having such a flexible schedule also makes it easy for me to keep my furry friends in mind who have planned out lives of their own.
