I grew up on a farm, taking care of many kinds of animals with many needs. As an adult, I’ve had pets of my own, most recently a big 80lb lab mastiff pupper, have had him for 5 years now, and a loving cat that we rescued 6 months ago. When I lived in ky, I’d constantly watch my neighbors dogs and other friends dogs/cats periodically when they would go on trips/vacation. I want to take the passion that I have, and turn it into some extra cash, while putting your mind at ease. Your pets will have an amazing time and you can relax or accomplish what you need done. 🙂

Just wanted to rave about Shawn! He was so communicative and responsible + took fabulous care with our energetic (+ not fully trained) 11-month old golden retriever. He popped over to the house to meet us + made sure that he had all bases covered. He let himself in when we were traveling out of town, took our puppy on walks, sent us videos + photos, fed our dog, and locked up. We felt fully comfortable that we were in good hands! Shawn is many things, I'm sure, but what you want most in someone taking care of your pets and your home is someone who is 1. gentle with animals and 2. responsible. That's all you need to know! Yes, he is very, very responsive and sends pictures of your animals at least daily. Yes, he is flexible and changes plans easily. Yes, he is communicative and lets you know what he can and can't do. Yes, he is fun to talk to and makes you feel at ease. But in the end, this about your pet and your home, and my little Lucy (chihuahua mix) couldn't have been happier and better taken care of. But don't book him cause I need him available for me!
Shawn deserves the highest of recommendations. He is wonderful with my dog--gentle, patient, and confident. He has proven to be highly reliable, flexible an is diligent about communicating his arrival times and availability. I had booked a four-day weekend with him then had to cancel, but I continue to request his time to walk my dog and look forward to being able to leave her with him on overnight trips. He's very much a five-star guy!
Shawn is one of the best pet care givers I have ever met. Dogs and cats in particular seem to love and trust him implicitly and they flock to him wherever he finds a himself and he’s always ready with pets and love. He is devoted dad dog to his big goofy guy, and he helped me rescue a stray cat including treating a wound she had received and giving medications. Whenever my pets are in his care I come home to find them happy and tired from all of the play and exercise he gives them. He has become my go-to pet sitter and I would recommend him to anyone.

Schedule
I’ve lived in Oakland for 3 years now and have a plan with my partner to move out in the next 3+ years. As of now, I am a stay at home father of a dog obsessed kid, and looking mainly for walking/jogging gigs with kid friendly dogs. 😁
