Pet care experience
I am a mom and army wife with 2 dogs who has been in El Paso, Tx for the last 2 years. Animals have always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I lost my dog/best friend of 13 years in 2019 and this impacted my life in ways I never imagined. Since then we have adopted two Australian Cattle dog mixes and an American Pit Bull Terrier. In March 2024, we lost our 3 year old American Pit Bull Terrier to cancer. When not loving on my children, husband, or dogs, I use to foster volunteer for the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region in Colorado Springs, Co in my spare time. Through this program I housed, fed, medicated, and nurtured animals until they were healthy enough to find their forever home. From this experience I was able to teach my children selfless service and improve the socialization of my own pups. We have a fenced in yard where we like to play with our own pups. Our pets are an extension of our family and should be treated as such. I would like to offer my love for animals to your pets in your absence. It would be an honor to be entrusted with the safety and welfare of your pets. Thank you!

This is the 2nd time we’ve used Shaunda and we’ve been more than pleased. I love that our family can have the peace of mind with Shaunda and her family to do a great job while we are out of town. We get pictures of what’s happening multiple times per day and he is always happy and healthy when we pick up our Kola. Highly recommended!
Amazing as always!!! Shaunda truly cares for the pups and the communication is awesome! Thank you!!
Shaunda is now the only river sitter I use! She is amazing! My dog loves her and she sends plenty of pictures of my dog and her family playing, all cuddled up-feels like Sasha is apart of their extended family now!!!
My dog and I feel beyond lucky to have Shaunda and her family in our lives. I know my dog is loved and well cared for when she gets to stay there. I receive many updates and photos from Shaunda, so I never wonder how my pup is doing.

Information Shaunda C. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know if your dog/dogs are kid friendly? Does your dog get along with other dogs? This is a plus because dogs that dont get along with other dogs makes my job harder and presents a safety issue to myself, my kids, my dogs and the other dogs in my care. What makes your dog happy, what makes your dog feel safe, or what things your dog does not like. Is your dog food aggressive? Meaning can it be fed with other dogs or will they growl/snap if fed with other dogs. Is your dog allowed on furniture or beds? Does your dog get anxiety? If so, from what and how do you soothe them? Is your dog a cuddler or more independent? How do they play with other dogs? i.e are they a "rough and tumble" or "adaptive" or "soft toucher".
A typical day
When your dog is in my care activities will usually include outside play with my children, my pups, and me. We have tennis balls, frisbees, rope toys, and chew toys. I would prefer to keep animals in my yard, to ensure their safety. All animals act differently when they are in public without their owners. I can walk them in my neighborhood.
