I have done quite a bit of pet sitting work so I am very familiar with this experience. I am extremely respectful when I'm in my client's home and I remain conscious of the fact that it's your pet's home too and I'm respectful of their space as well. I strive to ensure that your pet continues to feel safe and cared for when I'm in their home. I perpetuate a quiet, calming presence which most animals respond to positively. I will do everything in my power to ensure your pet's wellbeing and happiness, while still accomplishing everything that has been asked of me by my client. I will care for your fur babies as if they were my own!

Please let me know all you can about your pets ahead of time, including their daily routine. I need to know if they have special requirements such as diet, medications, physical limitations, etc. It also helps to know if they have favorite treats, toys, bedding, brushes, etc. It is also extremely helpful to me to know just as much about their personalities as possible and whether they ever have any kind of fear or aggressive responses towards things like their food, other animals, strangers, or anything else. Aggression is not a deal breaker for me, so don't be afraid to share that information! I have worked with many aggressive dogs and cats and there's plenty that I can do to warm up to them and make them feel less afraid, while respecting their limits and not pushing them too far.
A typical day
I strive to ensure your pet feels as comfortable and cared for with me as they do in their daily lives and work to keep things as consistent for them as possible. I will use their favorite toys to play with them in order to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. I'll make sure they get plenty of exercise by taking your dogs on walks in places they and you both know so you can both feel confident that they are safe on their walk. I will also make sure to devote plenty of time for petting and cuddling with them so they still feel they're getting lots of love and attention. I'll also take and send photos of all the fun they're having so you never miss a moment even while you're away! I can also provide most grooming services for dogs and cats if requested!

I've taken care of animals of almost every kind for most of my life, both professionally as a Veterinary Technician for more than 15+ years as well as personally with my own pets, which I've had all my life. I truly love animals and have dedicated my life to helping and caring for them and even plan on attending Vet School. I have fostered countless animals, both dogs and cats, as well as more than 35 bottle-fed kittens. I have experience with just about every kind of pet and even those that are senior or those with special requirements such as medications, special diets, and subcutaneous fluid and physical therapy. I have a great deal of experience with animal behavior and have worked with many difficult and even aggressive animals.

This is the first time that I have had someone stay with my dog while I was out of town, and I couldn't be happier. Shauna was great!!!! My dog can sometimes be nervous when meeting new people, but she went right up to Shauna at our meet and greet. At this meeting, Shauna asked all about Cassie, what her routine was and what she liked. I felt very comfortable with her. While I was gone, Shauna took Cassie for walks, and sent pictures. Cassie stayed by her side in the evenings, when normally she prefers to be outside. Cassie obviously felt very comfortable with her. Cassie was low on one of her treats, and Shauna went and bought a whole new bag. Very thoughtful. I highly recommend Shauna and I will use her again.
Shauna went above and beyond to care for my 7 cats🤍 Forever thankful for her willingness and kindness to watch my cats at a days notice. She also cleaned and did other above and beyond tasks for my cats, like brushing them🥹
Shauna was the best cat sitter we have ever had! She is great with cats! She has five cats herself, so she is attuned to their needs and has a nuanced, living experience with making sure they are cared for as much as possible. She was very astute at perceiving our cat's need for engagement and played with her consistently when we were gone. Most importantly, she made sure our cat felt loved and cared for when we were away. This quality is very difficult to define, but became apparent immediately after she started writing her Rover cards! She went way above and beyond what was required to care for Zoe. I would recommend her to anyone with a social pet needing meaningful engagement with people when you are out of town. We will definitely remember her for any time we are on travel in the future!
Shauna was great with my two cats. On her drop in visits she respected the very shy personality of one of my cats, and gave lots of love to my other more people loving cat. I especially appreciated the care she took with my asthmatic cat, to do her best to give him his medicine even when he was a little difficult.
