It's important that we know about any special attention or issues your pup may have so we can be attentive to them. If your pup has separation anxiety or maybe a skilled counter surfer or escape artist, it's important that we know such things in advance so we can be proactive to ensure that they have a safe and happy stay.
A typical day
We have a huge fenced in back yard with lots of room to play fetch, frisbee, sniff around and run with other dogs. We have a park with a lake right behind our house that we walk to so the dogs gets plenty of social interaction and exercise.

Pet care experience
Our home is a place where your pets will be treated like family members and will receive the love and attention that we have always given our own pets. We have had dogs for as long as we've been a family and dogs have been a part of my life since childhood. We have also fostered and cared for many dogs over the years and we are the “go to” people when friends and relatives need a pet sitter. We decided that it just makes sense to offer our home to dogs in need of a temporary home while their owners are on vacation or for other reasons are unable to care for them. Dogs find and make themselves at home at our place and we treat them like they're our own. I don't work outside of the home so I'm home most all the time with the exception of a doctor appointment or a grocery errand. I'm also a registered nurse in addition to having a pretty extensive history caring for pets with special needs including insulin dependent diabetic dogs and those with various other medical needs including postoperative care. We have a large back yard enclosed by a 6 foot privacy fence with lots of room to run and play as well as a park with a lake behind our home which we take the dogs to when the weather is nice. We are literally a hop, skip and a jump to CVG via the Anderson Ferry which is just down the hill from our home which is a great convenience. I know that if I needed someone to care for my pet I would want them to stay at a place like ours.

Cookie had a great time at Shauna's once again! Made some new friends and had lots of outdoor time. It's like she goes on her in vacation!
Shauna and her husband are incredible. We are so fortunate to have had them and will definitely rebook. We have two dogs - one is an older dog with some special needs. Shauna cared for her every need with such care and even gave us guidance for when we brought her home. I was so worried leaving our dogs - as always, but we got pictures and updates through the days annd our pups were happy to see us, but not anxious to leave their home away from home. We will definitely rebook.
