Availability
While I don’t do much boarding or day care at the moment, I’m available for evening and weekend walks and drop-in visits pretty much year-round. In the summer and during school breaks my schedule is much more flexible. During parts of the summer I will be available to house sit in your home, but may need to bring my dog with me.

I typically do more drop-in visits than boarding & day care these days and have a strong track record of making sure your house and pets are secure while you’re away. I am always happy to provide pictures of your pet each visit as well as bring mail or packages inside (if I can carry them!) and water a few houseplants. (If you have a lot of plants that need watering, I’d be happy to do it but may request a small additional fee.) If you don’t require a full 30 minute visit, I usually offer a bit of a discount on those drop-ins —just ask! Information updated 2/1/25

Pet care experience
School teacher looking for a fun way to earn some extra cash during school breaks and weekends/evenings during the school year. During summer break I am available for drop-ins and walks pretty much any time of day. I have been caring for animals through Rover for several years and have a dog and three cats of my own. My dog has been with us since he was a puppy and we did quite a bit of formal training with him so I feel pretty confident in my dog and puppy handling skills. I have experience caring for blind cats, as well as cats with asthma, and am experienced in administering an inhaler (with Aerokat chamber) on cats. I know how hard it can be leaving fur babies at home. For me, even going on fun vacations can be bittersweet because I miss my fur children, so I understand how important it is to have a trustworthy pet sitter. I am always happy to send lots of pictures and write thorough notes about my time with your pets, and I’ll do what I can to make sure they are safe while you’re away. I look forward to caring for your critters!

Shauna took excellent care of Spakle, a 20 year old kitty; gave medication twice a day to a really finicky kitty. Every day I got updates on the backyard adventures. It was really nice to know that Spakle was being well cared for.
Shauna was wonderful! We needed a Rover on short notice and she came through in a pinch. Super professional and gave us total peace of mind.It was such a relief knowing our Lucy was in good hands while we were gone all day. Would definitely book again!
Shauna has taken care of our cats a few times now and we've always thrilled with the service. She sends lots of photos and videos, and also any other details we might want to know while we're away. We always know our pets are in good hands when she is watching them. Highly recommend her!
