Animal loving family 🐶🐱
I have grown up around dogs and cats throughout my life and have always loved caring for animals. I regularly look after and walk dogs for friends, family and returning owners, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can genuinely trust with your pet. I live with my husband and our two daughters, aged 9 and 6, who have been around animals from a young age and absolutely love them. We provide a warm, relaxed and affectionate family environment where pets are treated as part of the family during their stay. I understand that every animal has its own personality, preferences and routine. I take time to learn what makes each pet feel safe and settled, whether that means plenty of walks and playtime, mental stimulation, quiet space or cuddles on the sofa.

Lottie and Brookie have now stayed with Shauna and her family on several occasions. I cannot speak highly enough of the time and care they all devote to them. They are clearly very happy there.
Oh what a relief to find Shauna - I was so nervous leaving my girl for the first time for a weekend away. I had regular updates, Penny was walked loads, had plenty of fun and even got a toy to take home! Shauna spoilt my girl and I cannot thank her enough - it was a holiday for my Penny as well and now we’ve got no problem going away and having a break it lifted all that anxiety - thank you so much, Sarah
Shauna and her family looked after my dog while I went to Spain for a week at Christmas. It's the 1st time I've let someone I don't know look after my dog and I honestly couldn't have wished for anyone better. The constant updates, pics and vids wasnt something I expected but it really made my holiday seeing how happy my dog was while I was away. Wonderful family and absolutely the best people to care for my dog and anyone's.

Third stay for Brookie and Lottie with Shauna and family. Really brilliant once again. Two very happy dogs.. .and me too!

Schedule
I work shifts, so my availability can vary throughout the week. I organise bookings carefully around my rota and will only accept a booking when I know I can give your pet the time, attention and care they need. My shift pattern also gives me weekdays and other periods at home, rather than only being available at weekends. I will always discuss the dates, your pet’s routine and how long they are comfortable being left before confirming a booking, so everything is clear beforehand.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a secure, fully fenced rear garden where dogs can enjoy supervised outdoor time. Inside, our home is comfortable and welcoming, with space for pets to relax, play and sleep. I aim to keep each pet’s routine as familiar as possible, including their usual feeding times, walks, sleeping arrangements and house rules. Dogs are welcome to bring their crate, bed, blankets, toys or anything else that helps them feel settled, but they do not need to be crate-trained. I will follow any instructions you provide and keep you updated during your pet’s stay, so you can relax knowing they are safe, comfortable and being well cared for.
A typical day
A typical day will be tailored to your pet’s normal routine, energy level and personality. We are close to some lovely walking areas, including fields, woodland and the beach, so there are plenty of opportunities for enjoyable walks and adventures. At home, there will be supervised garden time, play, toys and indoor enrichment. Quieter pets can enjoy plenty of rest and their own space, while affectionate pets will find no shortage of cuddles in our house! Evenings are usually relaxed and cosy, with time to settle on the sofa with blankets and the family.

- Please tell me about your pet’s normal routine, feeding schedule, temperament, medical needs, medication, behaviour around other animals and children, and anything that may make them anxious or uncomfortable. As we have two daughters aged 9 and 6, I can only accept pets that are known to be safe and comfortable around children. Please also let me know about any history of aggression, guarding food or toys, separation anxiety, escaping, excessive chewing or difficulties being left alone. Being open about their needs helps me make sure the booking is safe, suitable and enjoyable for everyone.
