My approach to pet care is genuine and caring combined with a deep understanding of your unique experience as a pet owner (what are your needs, what are your concerns, what do you see as good care for your pet while you're away?). I offer kind and compassionate care tailored to each dog needs, especially for elder pets who require extra attention and specialized care (I have one of my own - almost 13 years old!). My expertise in administering medication and commitment to holistic pet care (full supporter of supplements, acupuncture, and other quality of life interventions) ensures that your furry friend receives not only the best physical care but also emotional support, making their time away from you as comforting and stress-free as possible. If your dog needs longer walks and enjoys nature, I am happy to take your dog on an urban hike adventure in the city. If you need someone to stay with your pet for a few short hours while you're at work and your landlord needs to check the fire alarm system, let me know. I am open to hearing what your needs are and will try my best to add some ease to your life.

Safety, trust & environment
I take walking safety seriously and will make sure that your furry friend is leashed properly before stepping out the front door. While I don't currently crate my dogs at home, I have experience using crates with other doggies. When we have left our dogs with sitters before, we gave a long list of needs and requests so I am happy to see what your list looks like and will complete it to the best of my ability. I am open to hearing your needs regarding what a safe environment looks like for your pet, my ears are open to receiving your own wisdom that you have learned in raising your furry family member <3

I know this is my second review, but it’s my second time using Shaun, and I don’t think you can ever thank someone enough when they put your mind so at ease when you have to leave behind our furry babies and we don’t want too… and know they are so well taken care of by Shaun!
I had a newly adopted 6 year old cat, who was quite unsocialized, and had just got used to me. However, I had to travel and I was completely nervous, more than usual, or leaving my fur baby at such a delicate time. I could not have left him in better hands. Truly. Shaun sent great updates and pictures for each visit and let me know any time changes that may have to had happen and checked they were ok before modifying. Very communicative and trustworthy. Absolutely hope he is always available when I need him!
Shaun took excellent care of our pets! We will definitely hire him again and recommend to other part parents. Thanks for putting our minds at ease while we were away from our pets.

Wow - Shaun was exceptional. When we got back from our trip we ran into our neighbors and they asked if our good friend was watching Theo because of how caring and at ease they saw Shaun with our dog. From the meet and greet to the daily check ins and photos, Shaun was an absolute professional who took genuine care of our dog. I cannot recommend Shaun enough. We asked Shaun to stay at our place and he treated our apartment with the outmost respect. I would have full trust and faith in Shaun if you’re looking for a house sitter.

Schedule
I currently work part-time at a yoga studio in Manhattan so my availability is flexible. I will update the calendar space as my availability changes. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out through the conversations feature. I do have 2 dogs and husband of my own, so all I ask is for at least one day notice for a walk or stay at your home so I can plan accordingly with them. Thank you!
