Dog-Loving Family, Home All Day
Welcome to Wilbur’s Way 🐾 Myself and my partner, Meg, are a family of four who have grown up around dogs of all different sizes, breeds and personalities. We both work from home, giving us the time, flexibility and attention needed to make sure every dog in our care is never short of company. Our love for looking after dogs grew even stronger after we sadly lost our much-loved English Bull Terrier, Wilbur. Over a year ago, we decided to open our home to other dogs, and since then we’ve had the pleasure of looking after so many wonderful pooches, from tiny Yorkshire Terriers to some of the biggest breeds, including Cane Corsos. We’re a genuine family home, and dogs staying with us become part of the family while they’re here. We have a four-year-old and a new baby, so our home is naturally busy, loving and full of life. We understand that every dog is different, which is why we take the time to learn their individual personality, routine and preferences. We’ve built Wilbur’s Way from our love of dogs and the experience we’ve gained from caring for so many different breeds over the past year. Thank you for looking after Ziggy. Ziggy was very relaxed and settled during his day with you and he went back to say goodbye which shows he enjoyed his stay! We would be very happy to recommend Shaun who is considerate, easy going and very comfortable looking after dogs.

Shaun looked after our dog while we were vacationing in Cornwall and wanted to see some sites that were not dog friendly. We got pictures throughout the day and our dog seemed very happy! Would definitely rebook with Shaun if we are back in the area.
Just brought our Max home from another stay with Shaun and my hubby said when he collected him, Max was very undecided whether he wanted to come home and would have stayed quite happily. He kept running back to Shaun. I think that says it all.
Thank you Shaun very much for having Max he came home very happy once again. If anyone is looking for day care or boarding all I can say is your dog will be in the safest hands and very well cared for.
Max was so excited to see Shaun and Meg you would have thought he had known them all his life when actually it was only the second time leaving him with them, so you can see the impact they had on him and he was very happy to be left and we had no worries. Shaun sent photos again which was lovely to see. Thank you very much for taking care of Max. We will be seeing you sometime in the New Year for sure but in the meantime time Merry Christmas to you all

Schedule
Myself (Shaun) and my partner (Megan) both work from home, everyday, so your pooch will never be without love & attention. I'm an early riser, that loves walking and exercise. For the last 5 years, walking our English Bull Terrier has been part of my day-to-day. We have a lot of time and energy to be able to ensure your dogs stay is as joyful for them as it is stress-free for you.

We have a secure rear garden which your dog will have use of whenever needed. It’s safe & secure meaning they can spend as long out there as they’d like to.
A typical day
Mental stimulation, training, walking and playing. Not many dogs like a change of routine and it can be stressful for both owners and dogs, but that's where having two of us working from home can help ease this process. We have the time, for your dog!

- If your dog has a routine, we'd like to do our best to stick to it so this is a key conversation to have prior to booking. We will need to know if your dog is on medication or has any special requirements. Some dogs have triggers and there's things they don't like, which is fine and easily avoidable if we know what they are.
