I’m sad to have to write this review, but I need to make sure other pet parents don’t make the same mistake I did. Shatese neglected my dog. She was only taking him out once a day. While she says that was pre-established (she told me up front he would only get one walk a day, which I was fine with) I didn’t know she also meant that was his ONLY potty break. Yes, I could have asked more questions, but a being who uses the restroom several times a day but expects the dog to hold it for 24 hours is an absolute menace. My baby is old, he’s anxious, and he’s used to his routine. I thought I was leaving Onyx with someone who would love him and take care of him. She didn’t. I have never been more scared and sad for my baby. I don’t have words for what Shatese put me through. And worse, she essentially said that Onyx needed time to adjust, which I assume she means to her expectations that he only goes out once. The last part that baffles me is she didn’t tell me for days that he was clearly struggling. He pooped on her floor, for which I’m terribly sorry but he was CLEARLY not doing well. Beyond being scared, he was uncomfortable at having to hold it all day. When I messaged her around 2pm in the afternoon, I didn’t get a response until 4:30pm when she “was just waking up”. I’m sure she’s lovely, but she’s a horrible caregiver of animals and shouldn’t be allowed on Rover anymore. My anger has dissipated, but my sadness remains. My baby did not deserve to be mistreated the way he was, and that I’m traveling and can’t apologize to him makes this even harder. Don’t book with her. Find someone else to do it.

We were so thankful for Ms. Shatese for accepting our last minute need after two sitters canceled last minute. She is a beautiful spirit who consistently kept us updated based on a schedule she had originally provided which allowed us to be at true ease while away from our pup. Her little one, Prince, is the most handsome ever. Was very grateful for all updates and adjustments

This is my second time booking with Shatese and I will again. I feel comfortable with my very timid rescue staying with her as she is patient and great with dogs.

I recently hired Shatese as a dog sitter and I couldn't be happier with her services. She is not only professional, but also incredibly kind and loving towards my dog. She treated my dog as if it were her own and provided frequent updates and pictures, which helped ease my mind while I was away. Shatese went above and beyond to make sure my dog was comfortable and happy during their stay. I highly recommend Shatese as a dog sitter and will definitely be using her services again in the future.

Absolutely the worse experience with a dog boarding experience for my dog and myself. This is a sitter who invites problems not disclosing she is having 5 plus dogs in a very small apartment. If she was transparent about the number of dogs she takes in, I would not have considered her. Second, I arrive and she has 5 dogs. States at drop off, she’s helping a friend. Sitter informs me 3 days after drop off my dog hasn’t eaten & complains about my dog. I say I have a friend to pick him up & she is not agreeable to the pick up as it doesn’t meet her schedule & then focused on the money. Three days later, she states she wants my dog picked up & will offer me $50 stating he’s inconsolable. It is Christmas weekend & I’m out of the country. I pick up my dog and he has bright red blood across his face like he has been bitten. She hands my dog’s leash to me and walks away not responding twice when I ask her about the blood and bite marks. This sitter is irresponsible and appears to do this for the money. I highly recommend NOT using her and recommend ROVER remove her from their profile. ZERO stars
