Pet care experience

Loving Animal Care Professional! ❤️

I have been pet sitting for approximately 20 years - started off pet sitting for friends and family and then word spread, and I have made it a little side business ever since. In addition, I have worked professionally in the pet care industry for the past 14 years - first at a doggy daycare, then 2 veterinary clinics. I do work at the clinic 4 days a week so that is important when deciding if I am a good fit for you. My typical schedule is 7:30a to around 6p. I work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. And then alternate between working Tuesday or Saturday. I have experience with all breeds of dogs, as well as experience with cats. I do have friendly dogs of my own so any dogs that I host in my home must be dog friendly. I do not have cats of my own but do have experience with cats and will host them, as needed. I also have a lot of experience with senior and special needs pets, including administering medication (oral and injectable), sub-q fluids, etc. I am comfortable hosting pets at my home or pet sitting at your home - whichever works best for you! I would love the opportunity to care for your fur babies!

Shasta was conscientious and took good care of the cats. I appreciated her taking on a three-week gig, knowing that it would be a major commitment. Even when she was having health problems, she saw to it that the cats had their meds etc. Thank you.

Shasta did a wonderful job at my home with my dog Valkyrie. There were some unforeseen things that came up but Shasta did a great job communicating that with me and was able to have her husband speaking with me and watching my dog with her. They were both very respectful and communicative. Valkyrie was much happier being able to stay home with someone to cuddle.

Shasta was great. She left the house clean and just as we left it. The pets were well tended and happy. She also sent updates consistently. We will definitely be reaching out to her again!

Shasta was great! She kept in good communication and the fur babies seemed happy when we got home. The fact that she works in a veterinary office gave us an extra level of comfort. Highly recommend!

A huge thank you to Shasta for taking such great care of our dogs and cats. When one of the dogs showed some unexpected anxiety, Shasta was very understanding and gentle with her. The dogs got plenty of attention and the cats even came out of hiding. In addition, the house was left in ship-shape. We will definitely book with her again!

My husband and I love animals and are constantly watching dogs for friends, family and clients. We have our own dogs at home that are very dog friendly. We do both work so we require that any dog that we host is crate trained.
