Caring for pets with different needs comes naturally to me. In addition to life with my own fur babies, I've been sitting for neighbors' pets since I was a kid, fostered dogs from local rescues, and been a Rover sitter to get my "dog fix" when I was between pups. I've helped raise litters of puppies from birth and volunteer with the boxer rescue, walking and spending time with dogs waiting for their forever homes. Between all of it, I understand routines, exercise needs, and the quiet reassurance anxious or senior dogs often need. Taking great care of every home I'm in means a lot to me too. I'm happy to retrieve mail, water plants, and take care of those odds and ends you need while you're away.

Safety, trust & environment
Dogs get plenty of attention whether we're at your home or mine. I keep a close watch outside so nobody gets into anything they shouldn't. If I'm out running errands during a stay at my place, your dog will be crated for their safety. Our home stays tidy, and we have a gate to close off certain areas when needed. Furniture time is case by case, just let me know if your dog is allowed on the couch. My husband and daughter are often around too, so your dog may get some extra love from them. We also have our own dog, Gabi. She's 2, medium energy, and loves to play, but does best with dogs who are good with her too. Meet & greet required before stays at my place..

Sharon and Keith were amazing with our dog Huck. They took care of her as if she was there own. They paid attention to her needs. Additionally they took and sent amazing photos. Knowing she was in such good hands was a real comfort.
Sharon and Keith took such great care of Bronx. Their house and yard are great. Awesome neighborhood and they live close to some parks. When I picked up Bronx I could tell they didn't only watch Bronx but they made his stay enjoyable and took really good care of him :) I would 10/10 recommend
I have observed firsthand over many years how well Sharon has taken care of her two dogs. She displayed patience in training them with the end result being they were very well-mannered and obedient. Shar took great care of their physical needs with proper nutrition, grooming, and exercise. Most importantly, she showered them with love and affection as members of her family. I would trust her unconditionally to take care of my pet (or child!).

Schedule
I'm local to Louisville and work from home, so whether I'm coming to your place for drop-ins and sits or hosting your dog at mine, they'll get plenty of attention and rarely be left alone for long. At home, we have a fenced yard (about 5 feet) for outside time, and if your dog needs their crate, just send it along with them. My daughter is usually in school during the week, but if a visit falls outside school hours, she may tag along and give your dog some extra love.

- Before booking, I always like to set up a meet and greet so we can make sure it's a good fit for everyone. Please let me know your dog's energy level, exercise needs, and whether they deal with any separation anxiety. I'd also love to know their experience around small children and other dogs. Dogs should be housebroken, non-destructive, and up to date on vaccines, whether they're staying with me or I'm looking after them in your home. Before hosting, I'll send over a short questionnaire so I have everything I need to give them great care. Each nightly rate covers 24 hours of care. If your booking runs past a multiple of 24 hours, we can work out a prorated day rate together. If your schedule falls outside normal drop off or pick up hours, plan to drop off the day before or pick up the day after. Your dog will be the only dog in my care during their stay.
