Pet care fits well into my routine because I’m open and flexible with making time for the animals I care for. I currently work part time, which gives me availability to schedule walks, drop-ins, playtime, feeding, and quality time with pets throughout the week. I enjoy spending time with animals, so I’m happy to adjust my routine to make sure they feel cared for, comfortable, and not alone while their owners are away.

I care for every pet like they’re part of the family because that’s how I’ve always treated my own dogs. My pets are truly my babies, and I love spending time with them, whether that’s playing, relaxing together, or just keeping them company. Now that my dogs are seniors, they enjoy lounging in the sun, relaxing around the house, and spending time with their people and companions. When dogs stay in our home for boarding, we treat them like they’re our own pets. They get lots of attention, love, companionship, walks, and time to relax and feel comfortable. They spend time with our dogs, lounge around together, and are never made to feel alone. We create a calm, loving environment where pets can feel safe and at home — many even sleep on our beds because we want them to feel as comfortable and cared for as possible while their owners are away.

Before caring for a pet, I like to know their daily routine, personality, energy level, and anything that helps them feel comfortable and safe. It’s important for me to know about feeding schedules, medications, allergies, favorite activities, bathroom routines, and how they interact with other pets or people. I also like learning what comforts them most, whether that’s extra playtime, cuddles, quiet space, or sticking closely to their normal routine. My goal is to make every pet feel as relaxed, loved, and at home as possible while they’re in my care.
A typical day
I love keeping pets active, happy, and entertained while they’re with me. I enjoy playing with them, going on walks, and doing activities that help stimulate their minds and keep them engaged. I also love simply hanging out with pets, giving them attention, talking to them, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved. Every pet has a different personality, so I try to match their energy level and make sure they’re having fun while also feeling safe and relaxed.

I’ve been around dogs since I was 10 years old, and I learned early on that pets are truly part of the family. Growing up, my mom regularly opened our home for dog sitting, and I’ve been helping care for pets alongside her for over five years. I’m experienced with feeding, walking, playtime, and giving dogs the attention and companionship they need to feel comfortable and happy while their owners are away. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for like they’re my own pets.
