I like to know a pet’s likes and dislikes, as well as their necessary info like medication and feeding schedule. Do they love tummy rubs? Car rides? Which is their favorite chew toy? Knowing this helps me provide the best care possible and ensures your pet and I have the best time together.
A typical day
Weekdays: I am a big fan of walks and playing in the backyard. There is a great part one block from my home, and several open spaces within a half mile. Weekends: If your pup is up for it, I would love to take them for a hike, a run, or for an outing customized to their favorite things! If not, we spend lots of time gardening in the background and wandering my neighborhood.

Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm and have cared for dozens of dogs and cats, as well as donkeys, ponies, pigs, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, turtles, salamanders, and fish. Now, I am a trained volunteer with the National Institute of Canine Service and Training, where I am a ‘babysitter’ for service dogs in training for ~one week at a time. I love caring for others’ pets at their home or in my home with fenced backyard and easy access to multiple open space trails. My husband Brian also works from home and is guilty of stealing morning snuggles and sneaking backyard fetch sessions during the workday.

Shari and Brian are such wonderful sitters! Our pup had an amazing time at their house while we were out of town. We got frequent and detailed updates on how she was doing. They took her on frequent walks and other adventures and spent lots of time playing and cuddling with her. We will absolutely be using their services again!

Shari is the best! We went out of town for the week, and it was a relief to not have to worry about how our pup (Holly) was doing. Holly was so well taken care of, had her walks and her cuddles, and we got photo-updates! Shari respected and followed all the instructions we left for her, which was super important, since Holly had a previous injury that was healing. Such a relief for us, and such a joy for Holly. We'll choose Shari again and again!
