I am absolutely passionate about dogs of all types and sizes and personalities! I’ve lived with dogs for decades. I’ve worked with several professional dog care businesses for years in Chicago and Wisconsin, and have taken care of them for 10 years part-time, and the past 5 years full-this me. I had my own business for several years in Michigan. I am retired and can give your dog absolutely all of my time and attention.

Shari took excellent care of our two senior doodles during a recent trip overseas. We so appreciated all the photos and the great communication. We knew our girls were in excellent, caring hands, which helped make our trip more enjoyable and worry-free.
We had a good experience. Shari provided 2 weeks of care for our dog, Ruby. Ruby is a rescue dog and can be nervous in new settings. Shari was so understanding and patient with Ruby (and me!) and her updates were so kind. I hope to book with Shari in the future.
Shari was so friendly, reliable, good communication with quick reply to texts and daily updates of my dog. Would definitely recommend and hopefully will be a repeat customer.

Schedule
I am available 7 days a week, including holidays. I primarily provide dog boarding services. It suits me best, and I am Passionate about providing outstanding care.

Safety, trust & environment
Your beloved dog’s safety is my Number One priority at all times. I not only doublecheck when we leave for walks, I triple check strength and fit of collar and leash and harness. I have a gate that I used to block my door to outside at all times. Keeping them to their routines is my goal. This includes similar meals, playing, snuggling, and potty break and walks. My style is much more about keeping a calm and serene environment for your dog. I find this greatly helps ease their separation anxiety and nerves in general. If your dog is highly energetic and active, my place isn’t the best fit. I live in lovely quiet residential neighborhood with an enclosed dog park that’s great for playing and sniffing. I

A typical day
Lots of walks, playing both inside and outside, four dog beds, three huge sofa beds along with a human bed for nap times, overnight sleeps. And of course lots of snuggle time.

- I treat each dog as if it is my own! My preference is for small to medium-sized dogs. 🐕 I ask that your dog be up-to-date on all vaccinations. I also request that each dog have a secure collar with up-to-date information on a collar. If not, I am happy to have one made ahead of time. Also, I ask for an authorization form written by you to give me permission to take your beloved dog to a veterinarian in case of the need for emergent care. Because I believe many dog owners have as much separation anxiety as some dogs do, I happily provide multiple photos and update and anecdotes about your dog. I am always happy to actually talk on a phone to let you know how they are! What is your dog’s typical daily routine? Are there any behavioral issues I should know about? How is your dog’s health: is there a need for any medication administration, either oral or IV? I have experience with both. How is your dog on a leash? And with other dogs, and / or people? Is your dog treat- or food- motivated? What commands does your know? I am eager to learn all about your one-in-a-million dog!
